One change takes something away from the biggest spenders. The other adds more hotel credit for almost everyone. Both appear in the card's current terms on [Chase's Sapphire Reserve for Business page](https://creditcards.chase.com/business-credit-cards/sapphire/reserve), and the $795 annual fee stays the same.\n\n## The new cap on 3x ad spending\n\nToday the card earns 3 points per dollar on social media and search engine advertising, with no limit. Chase's terms say that lasts until Nov. 14, 2026.\n\nStarting Nov. 15, 2026, the 3x rate applies only to the first $1,000,000 spent in that category each account anniversary year. After that, ad purchases drop to 1 point per dollar, with no maximum.\n\nChase defines the first \"account anniversary year\" in a specific way. It runs from Nov. 15, 2026 through the first statement date after your account open date anniversary. After that, it covers the 12 billing cycles that follow each anniversary.\n\nFor most small businesses, this won't matter. A business would need to spend more than $1 million a year on ads such as Facebook, Instagram or Google search before the cap kicks in. But for agencies and online sellers that run huge ad budgets on the card, it is a real cut. Every dollar past the cap now earns a third of what it did before.\n\n## More money for The Edit hotel stays\n\nThe good news is on the hotel side. Right now the card gives up to $500 a year in statement credits for stays booked through The Edit, Chase's collection of hand-picked hotels and resorts. Each transaction can get up to $250 back, and stays need at least two nights.\n\nChase's page says that starting Jan. 1, 2027, cardholders get two more $250 credits. That raises the total to up to $1,000 a year, double what is offered now. Purchases that get the credit do not earn points.\n\nChase says Edit bookings also come with perks such as a $100 property credit, daily breakfast for two, free Wi-Fi, a room upgrade, and early check-in or late check-out. Some of these depend on availability and vary by hotel.\n\n## What stays the same\n\nThe rest of the card looks the same as before. Chase lists these key earning rates:\n\n* 8x points on purchases through Chase Travel, including The Edit\n* 5x total points on Lyft rides through Sept. 30, 2027\n* 4x points on flights and hotels booked directly\n* 1x points on everything else\n\nThe card still comes with a $300 travel credit each anniversary year. There is also a $250 credit through Dec. 31, 2026 for prepaid Chase Travel stays at select hotel brands, including IHG and Omni. A $120 credit for Global Entry, TSA PreCheck or NEXUS is available once every four years.\n\nBusiness credits include up to $200 a year for Google Workspace and up to $400 a year for ZipRecruiter. The card also offers a DashPass membership and monthly DoorDash promos through 2027, and up to $100 a year for gift cards from a curated collection.\n\n## Lounge access is unchanged\n\nFor Lounge Frog readers, the lounge perks are the headline benefit. The primary cardmember gets into [Chase Sapphire Lounge by The Club](https://www.loungefrog.com/programs/sapphire-lounge) locations and more than 1,300 [Priority Pass](https://www.loungefrog.com/programs/priority-pass) lounges worldwide, with up to two guests.\n\nEmployee cardmembers can't use the Sapphire Lounge or [Priority Pass](https://lounge-frog-api.onrender.com/api/v1/go/77243838-574a-4032-9c19-8ef6a86c5798?site=lounge) benefits on their own. They can still get in as guests of the primary cardmember. You can see every lounge the card opens on our [Sapphire Reserve for Business card page](https://www.loungefrog.com/cards/chase-sapphire-reserve-business).\n\n## The welcome offer is bigger right now\n\nNew applicants are seeing a higher sign-up bonus. Chase's page shows 200,000 points after $30,000 in purchases in the first six months, up from the 150,000 points now shown crossed out. Chase says the bonus may not be available if you have ever had this card.\n\n## Who should care\n\nIf your business runs well under $1 million a year in online ads, the Nov. 15 change likely won't affect you. The extra Edit credits in 2027 make the $795 fee easier to justify, as long as you book eligible two-night stays through Chase.\n\nIf your business spends heavily on digital ads, it is worth doing the math before Nov. 15. Past the $1 million mark, that spending will earn the same 1x as any other purchase on the card.","textStyle":"body","layout":"text"}]}
