On October 16, Delta said it will fly daily nonstop between [Boston Logan](https://www.loungefrog.com/airports/bos) and [Reykjavík Keflavík](https://www.loungefrog.com/airports/kef) from April 12, 2027. The flights run through October 30, according to [Delta's release](https://news.delta.com/no-one-better-connects-boston-world-delta-announces-new-route-iceland).\n\nThe catch for premium flyers is the plane. Delta will use a Boeing 757-200 with three cabins: Delta Premium Select, Delta Comfort and Delta Main. There is no Delta One cabin on this route, so there is no lie-flat seat to buy.\n\n## The route at a glance\n\nHere is what Delta has confirmed so far:","textStyle":"body","layout":"text"},{"role":"htmltable","html":"<table><tr><th>Detail</th><th>What Delta says</th></tr><tr><td>Route</td><td>Boston (BOS) to Reykjavík (KEF)</td></tr><tr><td>Frequency</td><td>Daily</td></tr><tr><td>Season</td><td>April 12 to October 30, 2027</td></tr><tr><td>Aircraft</td><td>Boeing 757-200</td></tr><tr><td>Cabins</td><td>Premium Select, Comfort, Main</td></tr></table>","layout":"text"},{"role":"body","format":"markdown","text":"Delta has not listed flight times in the release. Check the schedule on delta.com before you build a trip around it.\n\nDelta says Reykjavík will be its 14th unique long-haul destination from Boston during the peak summer season. It will also be Delta's 16th international destination from the city. Delta calls itself Boston's No. 1 carrier and says Boston is its closest U.S. hub to Europe.\n\n## Delta has history in Iceland\n\nThis is not Delta's first Iceland route. Delta says it began nonstop flights between New York-JFK and Reykjavík in June 2011. The airline says that was the first time a U.S. carrier offered scheduled nonstop flights to Iceland.\n\nBoston gives New England flyers a closer option. They will not need to connect through New York to reach Keflavík on Delta.\n\n## What it means for lounge access\n\nThe cabin mix matters if you care about lounges. Delta's Boston lounges are listed on Lounge Frog's [Boston airport page](https://www.loungefrog.com/airports/bos). They include the [Delta One Lounge](https://www.loungefrog.com/lounges/bos-delta-one-lounge) and Delta Sky Clubs in Terminal A, such as the [Sky Club in Terminal A](https://www.loungefrog.com/lounges/bos-delta-sky-club-a).\n\nThe Delta One Lounge is built for Delta One flyers. This flight does not sell Delta One, so a ticket on it will not come with the lounge perks that a Delta One seat brings. A Sky Club visit depends on your own status, card or membership, not on the route. Check your entry rules on the [Delta Sky Club page](https://www.loungefrog.com/programs/delta-sky-club) before you fly.\n\nAt the other end, Lounge Frog lists one lounge at Keflavík: the [Icelandair Saga Lounge](https://www.loungefrog.com/lounges/kef-icelandair-saga-lounge). Delta has not said anything about lounge access at Keflavík for these flights. Do not count on a lounge there unless your ticket or status clearly gives you one.\n\n## The rest of Delta's 2027 Europe plan\n\nReykjavík joins three routes Delta already announced for 2027:\n\n* **Boston to Venice:** four flights a week from May 7 to October 29, on an Airbus A330-300 with Delta One.\n* **Detroit to Athens:** three flights a week from June 8 to October 28, on an Airbus A330-200.\n* **Austin to Paris:** daily from March 27, on an Airbus A330-900neo. Delta says it will be Austin's first nonstop to Paris.\n\nDelta also says Boston to Milan will go daily in 2027. Several seasonal routes will start earlier or run later, including Minneapolis-St. Paul and Detroit to Rome in early March. We covered Venice and Athens in more detail in our [earlier story](https://www.loungefrog.com/news/delta-detroit-athens-boston-venice-2027).\n\n## Our take\n\nThis is a smart, simple route. Boston is Delta's closest U.S. hub to Europe, and a daily summer flight gives New England a real choice for Iceland.\n\nBut premium flyers should read the cabin list closely. Premium Select is a step up from Main, but it is still not a flat bed. If you want to sleep on the way to Europe, this is not the flight for that. If you want a quick trip to see Iceland's waterfalls and hot springs, it could be a great one.\n\nAirline schedules can change before April, so check your flight again before you book hotels or tours.","textStyle":"body","layout":"text"}]}
