The airline [announced its summer 2027 plans on October 20](https://newsroom.swiss.com/en/swiss-to-launch-toulouse-service-and-expand-flights-across-europe-and-asia/).\n\nThe new route is small and seasonal. The frequency increases are the bigger story for most people, especially the move to daily service on Montreal.\n\n## Toulouse, twice a week for two months\n\nSWISS says it will fly between Zurich and Toulouse twice a week from June 25 to August 23, 2027. That is a short summer window, so this is not a year-round business link, even though the airline points to Toulouse's role as a center of the aerospace industry. Airbus is based there.\n\nFor travelers in Toulouse, the route offers a one-stop link to the SWISS long-haul network through Zurich. For travelers coming the other way, it is a new way into southwest France and the Pyrenees without changing in Paris.\n\nSWISS has not said which aircraft it will use on the route.\n\n## More flights in Europe\n\nSWISS says its Paris service will grow from 28 to 30 flights a week. Nice goes from 32 to 34 weekly flights. Hamburg, Budapest and Bremen also get more flights, though the airline did not give numbers for those three.\n\nNiš, in Serbia, came back to the SWISS map in summer 2026. Next summer it will run for the whole season, at three flights a week instead of two.\n\n## Montreal goes daily\n\nFor North American readers, this is the line to note. SWISS will fly Zurich–[Montreal](https://www.loungefrog.com/airports/yul) daily in summer 2027, up from five times a week. More days means fewer gaps for connections and more chances to find a seat, though the airline has said nothing about award space.","textStyle":"body","layout":"text"},{"role":"body","format":"markdown","text":"## Tokyo and Bengaluru\n\nIn Asia, SWISS says it will fly Zurich–Tokyo daily until the end of May and again in October. From June to September, it will run six flights a week, up from five the previous summer.\n\nThe new Bengaluru route starts in the winter 2026/27 schedule, and SWISS says it will keep flying it through summer 2027. The airline pitches it at both business travelers and people visiting family.\n\nSWISS chief executive Jens Fehlinger said the airline is \"selectively expanding our network where we can create the greatest value.\"\n\n## The bigger picture\n\nThe summer 2027 timetable runs from March 28 to October 30, 2027. SWISS says it will serve 95 destinations from Zurich, two more than this summer, with 69 in Europe and 26 long-haul. It also says plans for Geneva will follow in the coming days, once some slot decisions are made.\n\n## Where to wait in Zurich\n\nToulouse, Paris and Nice are all in the Schengen area, so those flights normally leave from the A gates in Zurich. Today that means the [SWISS Business Lounge A](https://www.loungefrog.com/lounges/zrh-swiss-business-lounge-a) for business class passengers and Star Alliance Gold members, the [SWISS Senator Lounge A](https://www.loungefrog.com/lounges/zrh-swiss-senator-lounge-a) for Senators and the [SWISS First Lounge A](https://www.loungefrog.com/lounges/zrh-swiss-first-lounge-a) for HON Circle members. The airline is due to move its Dock A lounges into the new Dock B building in early 2027, which [we covered earlier](https://www.loungefrog.com/news/swiss-new-zurich-lounges-dock-b-2027), so the layout may be different by the time Toulouse launches.\n\nLong-haul flights to Montreal, Tokyo and Bengaluru leave from Dock E.
