Dallas/Fort Worth and Miami top the list with four each. Several busy lounges have none.\n\nShower counts come from our lounge records as of Oct. 23, 2026. We only ranked open U.S. Centurion Lounges. Philadelphia is closed for renovation through late 2027, so it is out of the ranking. The lounge is not in its permanent Terminal 3 home. It is in a temporary Terminal 2 space while Terminal 3 West is rebuilt, with a 2027 return planned for the permanent lounge.\n\nAmex also warns that offerings may be limited in the temporary space. Our directory lists [SFO](https://www.loungefrog.com/lounges/sfo-the-centurion-lounge) with zero showers to match what travelers can expect in Terminal 2 today, not the permanent build. If Amex restores showers before 2027, we will update the count.\n\nLaGuardia has no showers in our records either. That matches the smaller footprint of that lounge.\n\n## What a shower count does not tell you\n\nMore showers do not always mean a shorter wait. DFW and Miami are large lounges with heavy Platinum traffic. A two-shower lounge at a quieter hour can still beat a four-shower lounge at 5 p.m. Plan time the way you would for security: arrive early if a shower is the reason you are going in.\n\nAccess rules did not change with this ranking. U.S. Consumer and Business Platinum Card Members still get in with guest fees unless they hit Amex's annual spend threshold. Centurion members keep broader guest rights. Same-day boarding passes and the three-hour window still apply at most locations.\n\n## How we counted\n\nSource: Lounge Frog lounge records for open U.S. Centurion Lounges on Oct. 23, 2026. Sidecar by The Centurion Lounge in Las Vegas is a separate product and is not in the shower table. Newark's future Centurion Lounge is not open yet, so it is excluded. Recheck the lounge page before you fly; renovations change amenity counts.\n\n## Where showers matter most\n\nLong connections and red-eyes are the trips where a shower changes the day. DFW and Miami are strong picks when you have a three-hour-plus layover and a same-day international departure. Atlanta and Denver help on busy hub days if you can arrive early enough to wait for a suite.\n\nIf you are connecting at LaGuardia or the temporary SFO lounge, plan to shower at the hotel or skip it. Do not block an hour in those lounges hoping a suite appears. For Philadelphia cardholders, the Centurion Lounge is closed through late 2027; use Priority Pass, Plaza Premium or Escape options at PHL instead while the renovation runs.\n\n## Compare this to other premium lounges\n\nAirline clubs vary widely on showers. Some Flagship and Polaris lounges have several suites; many domestic Admirals Clubs and United Clubs have none. Centurion's four-shower lounges put Amex in the upper tier for card-access showers in the U.S., even if wait times remain the wild card.\n\nWe score showers as one amenity among many on each lounge page. Food, seating and crowding still drive the overall rating. Use the shower count when that amenity is your must-have, then check hours and the three-hour entry window before you leave for the airport.","textStyle":"body","layout":"text"}]}
