Sorry these corporations suck so much (especially United) I liked Air New Zealand (have to connect through Auckland but that’s a bonus for me.. and they could use better onboard wifi but in-flight entertainment isn’t bad)

I flew Air New Zealand a long time ago—back when the Queen of the Skies, the B747-400, still ruled long-haul travel. SFO to AKL. It was a great flight, and there’s a chapter about it in the book.

For all the [expletive] (but true) stuff I throw at AirNZ ...& their 'Boys Club' executive parasites.. Absolutely NOT their flight/cabin crews, who are this company's best asset. I love their Pokkarekare Ana TV advert! But the in-flight safety-briefing video is terrible!

Phew My flight from Canberra to Sydney got delayed so Qantas put us on a AirNZ flight. Only just made it Nice meal on the flight though. I think it might have got bundled in the transfer Oh and free in-flight WiFi cause that's a thing I can use to post to social media

San Francisco, California We flew from Christchurch to Auckland to San Francisco on Air New Zealand. It was a comfortable flight but miserable. Very long and I can't sleep on airplanes. I got this amazing shot out the window. My friend told me the glass was tinted to that kind of burst my bubble....

First time flying with Air New Zealand today and it was great! I ate my entire vegan meal because it was absolutely yummy. Also, the flight attendants were very nice. I think other airlines have a lot to learn from them. Most of times, my special meal request equals zero effort and tasteless food.

Great question! I'd say it was probably a jump seat ride I got on an Air New Zealand 747-200B back in the early 90s. The 200B had a flight engineer and analog cockpit, so pretty old school tech. The flight was from Sydney to Christchurch.

Yeah, I've flown QANTAS a lot when I travelled. Air New Zealand is pretty good too. We're very proud of our airline over here. Tiber simply loved doing this assignment. He's a very "vocal" supporter of QANTAS 😉

The Internet on Air New Zealand flight is not bad. One of the best airlines I have used. Sky couch was also a good idea, wife and I were able to sleep a bit during the flight

Best economy food I’ve had on Air New Zealand - any airline / in years. Though United transatlantic has got a lot better. When I told the attendant how good it was, she was so pleased. I got first pick on the next meal service. And that was great too!

Actually Air New Zealand and Fiji Airways have been pretty good and never had a last minute change. The biggest issue I had with Air NZ was when they cancelled a Samoa flight they dropped me from Business down to Economy and I had to fight hard to get it back with no extra charges.

I flew Air New Zealand from LHR to both HKG and LAX back in the early 2000s. They had lovely crew and a premium economy product that was better than BA or Virgin. Always thought they would regret selling their LHR slots. Would be great to see them back in London. onemileatatime.com/news/air-new...
