At a glance
Amex opened this Centurion Lounge in Terminal 4 in late 2020. At about 15,000 sq ft, it is one of the largest in the network. It's on two floors above the T4 retail hall: after security, turn left instead of taking the escalators down to the concourses. Floor-to-ceiling windows look out over the apron and runways, and the upper level is divided into lots of separate seating nooks, with phone booths, a communal work table, and a family room. The lower level has a speakeasy-style bar, and there's an Equinox-branded wellness space plus shower suites. The main thing to know is that mornings are the weak spot. Reviewers have found that in the early hours the lower level, the showers, and the full hot breakfast start later than the lounge itself, which crowds the upper floor. If you have a choice, you'll get a better visit from mid-morning onward. T4 is long, so if your flight leaves from the far end of Concourse A or B, budget extra walking time. You need a same-day boarding pass and an eligible Amex Platinum, Business Platinum or Centurion card. Entry generally opens three hours before departure (earlier on a connection). Guest fees and rules are listed below.
