Virgin Atlantic

Flying Club status

Flying Club status is earned on tier points from Virgin Atlantic flights, partners and its cards over a 12-month membership year, under the points-based scheme introduced in 2025. Virgin Atlantic belongs to no alliance; Delta owns a large stake and the two run a joint venture with Air France-KLM, so its lounge reach comes from that partnership rather than from SkyTeam membership. The ladder

3 rungs, from the bottom up.

How to earn it

Free to join.

What it gets you

Earn and redeem miles; no elite benefits.

At the lounge door

No status lounge access. Lounge entry is by cabin, membership, or a card.

2.Silver

How to earn it

The entry threshold on tier points; numbers on the program's page.

What it gets you

Priority check-in and boarding, an extra bag, a 30% points bonus.

At the lounge door

No lounge access from status; Clubhouses need Gold or an eligible Upper Class ticket.

3.Gold

How to earn it

The upper threshold on tier points.

What it gets you

Clubhouse access, priority everything, a 60% bonus, and upgrade vouchers.

At the lounge door

Virgin Atlantic Clubhouses with a guest on same-day Virgin Atlantic flights. Delta Sky Club on same-day Delta or Virgin Atlantic international flights, via the joint venture; no SkyTeam-wide lounge access.

Qualification thresholds are the published ones as last checked and change most years; confirm the current numbers with Virgin Atlantic. Alliance equivalences and the lounge rules that follow from them move far more slowly.
