I didn't take my first long haul flight until about 18 months ago so I might have only ever experienced the good stuff, had a storming breakfast on the Aeroméxico one I just took. albeit they're usually served at insane hours.

I flew on 727s a bunch as a kid (bundled off to visit the grandparents). Last time was an Aeroméxico example in 1996, older airplane at that point, and I was amazed by how much more comfortable it was than newer planes - nicer seats, more legroom, etc.

Yeah, Canada's conversion is cheaper. Sadly since Interjet went bankrupt, there's now only 1 Mexican airline that flies there. I don't think Volaris or Viva have flights and Aeroméxico hasn’t been offering good flights lately. 🥲
