i thought spirit airlines was bad but i genuinely thought ryanair was about to have a bunch of us get out to try and push start the plane at one point

Dear universe, Thank you for killing Spirit Airlines. I flew twice on it. One time I flew to Vegas and my flight got delayed to a later flight because the flight crew got wasted.

I hate that spirit airlines shut down. I remember when they started, it was the only affordable airlines that had good service; customer service and flight wise.

In memory of Spirit airlines I recall the time I flew from Atlantic City to Ft. Lauderdale and our plane was late to board. The flight attendant got on the intercom to say we were delayed because “somebody threw up and we have to clean it.” Sometimes less is more.

But Spirit was just [expletive]. I flew budget air a bunch to Europe back in the day. Icelandair for example. But it was fun and adventurous. Spirit was awful and nickle-and-dime expensive.

I am trapped in airport limbo: arrived at 7:40 for a fight at 10:30 on Spirit airlines (I know), which was delayed & then canceled. I got a refund (not a new flight) & managed to book a flight on United, scheduled for 6:30. Layover in Chicago, then late flight to my destination.
