JetBlue is growing fast in Fort Lauderdale. On July 9, 2026, the airline launched eight new nonstop routes from Fort Lauderdale-Hollywood International Airport (FLL), with six more coming later this year. JetBlue now runs more than 125 daily departures to more than 55 nonstop destinations from FLL. That is the largest schedule it has ever flown there.

JetBlue shared the plan in its July 9 announcement. It expects to reach about 150 daily flights from FLL this winter.

Routes that started in July

These routes are already flying:

  • Baltimore (BWI): three times daily
  • Charlotte (CLT): three times daily
  • Cleveland (CLE): once daily, from July 8
  • Nashville (BNA): three times daily
  • Detroit (DTW): twice daily
  • Houston (IAH): three times daily
  • Chicago O'Hare (ORD): twice daily
  • Ponce, Puerto Rico (PSE): once daily

Baltimore and Charlotte are new cities for JetBlue from Fort Lauderdale. The others are cities JetBlue already serves from elsewhere.

Routes still to come

Six more routes were scheduled for later in 2026:

  • Barranquilla, Colombia (BAQ): daily, scheduled from October 1
  • Cali, Colombia (CLO): daily from October 15
  • Columbus, Ohio (CMH): daily from November 2
  • Indianapolis (IND): daily from November 2
  • San Diego (SAN): daily from November 19
  • Caracas, Venezuela (CCS): daily, start date to be confirmed

JetBlue notes that the Barranquilla, Cali and Caracas flights still need government approval.

Mint comes to San Diego

For premium travelers, the San Diego route is the one to watch. JetBlue will fly it with Mint, its business class with lie-flat seats. JetBlue says this will be the only lie-flat option between Fort Lauderdale and San Diego.

JetBlue is also adding more Mint flights from Fort Lauderdale to Los Angeles and San Francisco this winter. Mint passengers on a Mint or Mint Flex fare now get free access to JetBlue's BlueHouse lounges. But there is no BlueHouse at Fort Lauderdale. The two lounges are at New York JFK and Boston Logan. So on the way home from San Diego, Los Angeles or San Francisco, you won't have a JetBlue lounge at either end.

Why JetBlue is growing here

JetBlue says its daily departures from FLL are up more than 75% from a year ago. It has added 24 nonstop destinations since December.

Some of that growth followed the collapse of Spirit Airlines. Spirit was a major carrier at Fort Lauderdale. When it stopped flying on May 2, JetBlue offered $99 rescue fares to stranded travelers and announced new routes to fill the gap.
