JetBlue now flies Fort Lauderdale to Indianapolis and Columbus nonstop, once a day each
Indianapolis is a brand-new JetBlue city and Columbus is a return. Both routes use A320s, leaving Florida in the evening and flying back at 6 a.m., as JetBlue builds its biggest Fort Lauderdale winter.
JetBlue has added two Midwest cities to its Fort Lauderdale map. Daily nonstops to Indianapolis and Columbus began on November 2 from Fort Lauderdale-Hollywood, with the first flights heading south on November 3, according to JetBlue's announcement.
Indianapolis is a new destination for JetBlue. Columbus is a return to the network. Both routes give travelers in Indiana and Ohio a nonstop to South Florida, and a one-stop path to JetBlue's long list of Caribbean and Latin American cities from Fort Lauderdale.
The schedule
Both routes run once a day on an Airbus A320. The timing suits a weekend away in Florida or an early start for a Midwest business trip. Flights leave Fort Lauderdale in the evening and come back first thing in the morning.
| Flight | Route | Departs | Arrives |
|---|---|---|---|
| B6 232 | FLL to IND | 7:00 p.m. | 9:39 p.m. |
| B6 235 | IND to FLL | 6:00 a.m. | 8:45 a.m. |
| B6 1508 | FLL to CMH | 7:00 p.m. | 9:45 p.m. |
| B6 1507 | CMH to FLL | 6:00 a.m. | 8:44 a.m. |
All times are local, and JetBlue says the schedule may change.
The 6 a.m. departures from Indianapolis and Columbus mean an early wake-up. The upside is a mid-morning arrival in Florida, in time to make a same-day connection to the Caribbean or Latin America.
Fares and what you get on board
JetBlue offered launch fares from $59 one way in its Main cabin and $138 in EvenMore, its extra-legroom seats. That sale was short. It had to be booked by November 3, for travel from January 6 to mid-March 2027, and it excluded Fridays, Saturdays and two blackout periods in January and February.
The A320 has no Mint business class or new BlueFirst seats. Every seat gets free Fly-Fi Wi-Fi, seatback TV with live channels, and free snacks and soft drinks. EvenMore adds legroom, early boarding, overhead bin space and, where the airport offers it, a faster security lane.
Where to wait at each airport
None of the three airports has a JetBlue lounge, so your options depend on what cards or memberships you hold.
Fort Lauderdale (FLL). The Escape Lounge is the main pay-to-enter choice. There is also a Delta Sky Club and a United Club, but those are tied to their own airlines' flights and members. See our Fort Lauderdale airport guide for terminals and hours.
Indianapolis (IND). The airport's main lounge is a Delta Sky Club. It is mainly for Delta flyers and members, so most JetBlue passengers will wait at the gate. Check our Indianapolis guide for the latest.
Columbus (CMH). The Escape Lounge is open to Priority Pass members and to some American Express cardholders through its Centurion Studio partnership. It also sells day passes. See our Columbus guide.
Why JetBlue is growing Fort Lauderdale
The two routes are part of a wider push. JetBlue says it expects to run more than 150 daily departures from Fort Lauderdale to 61 nonstop destinations this winter, its largest schedule ever at the airport. The carrier has said it wants to build the best leisure network on the East Coast, and Fort Lauderdale is a key piece. It already flies from there to four cities in Colombia, including Cali, added in October.
"We're excited to introduce JetBlue to Indianapolis and welcome Columbus back to our network," said Daniel Shurz, JetBlue's senior vice president of revenue, network and enterprise planning.
