Qantas cancelled my flight and split the seats I had with my wife. Instead of being together with extended legroom, we are rebooked in middle seats, on opposite sides of the plane, 2 days later. I think I'm done with them. I do this flight yearly and there's better airlines than this.

I don't think I realised until I got on a Qantas flight with an AI voiced safety announcement just how bad they are for communicating. I actually found it more difficult to follow the voice even though it's stuff I've heard a thousand times before coz there was no real cadence and phrasing.

Every single time I fly with Qantas, @qantas-official.bsky.social there is a series of f-ups. Not only is the flight delayed but it took them over an hour to do a single announcement telling us. The app didn’t update with delay and then I got this. Still not boarding. Incompetent airline.

After a good night’s sleep and a fairly fancy breakfast, we’re back at the airport. Qantas staff will be at the desk at 1pm so we can ask them about our luggage. Our flight is due to leave at 8.50 pm, I think. We’ve just had lunch at the Pret a Manger. We live here now.

Against my better judgement, I booked a work flight in November through Qantas because Virgin didn't have any good times and Jetstar is scary. So far my flight has been rescheduled twice.

Absolutely. I learnt on way out when Qantas cancelled my flight from LA. It's better having that happen from Asia when there are so many other options, than a 24 hour delay because one plane a day to each city

I reckon I have taken 50+ Qantas flights this year. Maybe 4 left on time. Today’s flight delayed (again). I have flown on dozens and dozens of airlines. Qantas is consistently one of the worst from reliability, service and comfort.

Carbon credits are a sham. Get this. When my flight was cancelled by Qantas, I fought for a refund. They refused to refund the carbon offset charge. I queried this, what carbon is it offsetting if the flight did not occur. “Oh it’s seen as more of a non-refundable voluntary donation”. [expletive] that!!!

Farking Qantas! Cancelled my flight even as another delayed flight went to Adelaide. Refuse to help me with a hotel even if I don't live in Sydney so I have to go home. And then put me on a 5 pm flight tomorrow so I will miss the first day. Not happy #Qantas Is this how you treat loyal customers?

Update for those following my Qantas drama on the other place last Friday: after cancelling 2 of my flights and keeping me at the airport for 12 hours, Qantas has charged me seat selection for the two cancelled flights *and* the eventual flight, in which my partner and I were seated separately.

When I was living in the US I always looked forward to getting on a Qantas flight on my regular trips home. The last few years they have gone to [expletive] so I love seeing them get kicked. Seeing workers being justified by the law is an excellent added bonus.

Qantas cancelled our flight to Canberra (2 adults, 2 kids) and rebooked us on probably the most professional flight there is: 7am Monday MEL-CBR. Thanks to everyone on board for putting up with the antics of two toddlers. Sorry if you got milk and caee on your work clothes. :o

On the last day of the outgoing Qantas CEO's tenure my flight was delayed because, a. the gate was short staffed and the chaotic boarding process meant it took an age to get passengers onboard. b. the plane had to wait for a crew member stuck on another delayed flight.
