Admittedly my experience in the last 10 years is mostly flying to Canada so vast majority is BA, Air Canada or Air Transat, but even Transat is passable these days. Flew United to Mexico this year and was sure they'd be rubbish for some reason, but actually the food was v good there too.

I always fly Air Transat to Toronto which is like [expletive] longhaul Easyjet, it's by far the cheapest but everyone is rude and THERE IS ZERO WIFI ONBOARD. But through a series of wonderful events I got a SWEET DEAL to fly with Virgin this time and, look, the wifi is so good I can stream showjumping.

I just flew home to 🇨🇷 from Toronto and took Air Transat. What a pleasant surprise! Was expecting their old charter level of service and cramped planes, but it's a legit airline now! New interior, super clean, great service. Two thumbs up 👍👍

Air Canada, worst service in Canada and I haven't even started on these flight attendants that screams at passengers, can't get any service in French when it's the law.... Screw them. I prefer paying more money taking Air Transat and being treated like a human.

Plus , depending on which airlines you choose, they’ll have their requirements as well. I fly pretty exclusively with Air Transat when I can and they are great with pets

Two years ago we had a *horrendous* flight back from Canada (fly Air Transat if you want to experience customer service like no other!) and we had an enforced six hour wait in Montreal airport. Anyway, the only good thing to come from that was this excellent pink moose t-shirt I bought there.
