The National Bank Lounge at Montreal-Trudeau is still welcoming eligible travelers, but in a temporary lounge with reduced capacity. National Bank moved it as of October 5, 2026, while the main lounge is renovated. Most visitors now have a two-hour stay limit.
National Bank's official lounge page expects the renovated lounge to return in June 2028, with the date subject to change.
The location remains near gate 53
The temporary lounge is near gate 53 in the international area. National Bank lists daily hours of 4 a.m. to 10 p.m., while noting that hours may vary with expected airport traffic. The bank says capacity is reduced during the renovation.
This lounge serves passengers departing for destinations outside Canada and the United States. A domestic or US-bound ticket does not qualify through National Bank's published access rules.
Check your boarding area before building a visit into your itinerary. A lounge at the same airport can be on the wrong side of the controls for your flight. A familiar name on a lounge list does not solve that problem.
The shorter visit changes your plan
The standard temporary-lounge limit is two hours. Private Banking 1859 World Elite Mastercard holders have a three-hour limit. National Bank says the temporary space still offers a buffet and service based on your status. The bank also lists Wi-Fi among the lounge's features.
A long connection now calls for a plan beyond the lounge. Decide where you will spend the rest of the wait and leave enough time to reach your gate. If you need a quiet place for a lengthy call, do not schedule it on the assumption that your lounge visit can stretch across the whole connection.
Reduced capacity also means access can be less predictable. Allow time to change plans if the space is full rather than treating a card benefit as a reserved seat.
What National Bank cardholders get
National Bank World Elite Mastercard holders can bring one guest and up to two children aged 12 or under free. The bank requires the physical card and boarding pass. Its published benefit has no annual visit limit.
That family allowance is tied to the National Bank card. Travelers using Priority Pass or another lounge program should check their own issuer's guest terms. The allowance does not automatically transfer to another membership.
The American Express listing also describes a two-hour maximum and says Priority Pass access is within two hours of departure. Confirm your program's current terms before traveling.
Paid access needs its own check
National Bank publishes paid rates for its clients who do not hold World Elite: CAD 63.24 for adults and CAD 40.24 for children aged 2 to 12, including taxes. Children under two enter free. These are not a universal Priority Pass guest fee.
If you get in another way, such as through Priority Pass, the guest fee depends on that program, not on National Bank's rates.
Use the National Bank Lounge listing for the current location and access notes. For trips later in the renovation period, check the bank's page again. June 2028 is an estimate, and a temporary lounge can change its hours or arrangements before the main space returns.
