Who gets into an Aspire lounge
Aspire is Swissport's pay-to-enter lounge brand, so anyone with a boarding pass can book ahead or pay at the door, usually for up to three hours before departure. Priority Pass, LoungeKey and DragonPass members get in free with guests per their card's allowance, and a few newer premium rooms charge card members an upgrade fee. Two Canadian lounges carry Amex branding and give Canadian Platinum and Centurion cardholders free entry and priority when the room is full.
We ranked every open Aspire lounge with a photo on file. Amsterdam's non-Schengen Lounge 41, Perth, Zurich's Suite by Aspire and Helsinki's OP Lounge are all rated 4.0 or higher but have no photo yet. Heathrow's Club Aspire closes on November 2 for a rebuild, so it is out too.
1. Aspire Lounge (Midfield / Gates E), Zurich
The Zurich Midfield lounge sits directly above gate E52 in the non-Schengen Dock E, reached by the Skymetro, and it has an outdoor sky-deck terrace. It seats 150 and scores five for coffee, service, quiet, seating and crowding. There are no restrooms inside the lounge itself and no showers.
2. Aspire Lounge 26, Amsterdam
Aspire Lounge 26 is on Level 3 above Lounge 1 in the Schengen area, a 200-seat room with a full bar and views over the apron. Food, seating, views and workspace score five, and it is five to eight minutes from the D gates.
3. Aspire Lounge (International), Calgary
The Calgary International lounge is in the D gates between Vin Room and Chili's, a calm 100-seat room with two showers and a full bar. Coffee, drinks, service, quiet, seating and crowding all score five.
4. Aspire Executive Lounge, Liverpool
Rebuilt in October 2025 at three times its old size, the Liverpool lounge is on the upper level past World Duty Free, about five minutes from every gate. It seats 200 with a full bar and scores five for food, drinks, service, seating and views. It opens at 3:30 a.m. in summer and 4 a.m. in winter.
5. Aspire Lounge (Domestic), Montreal
The Montreal domestic lounge opened in 2025 to the left of checkpoint A beside Starbucks, near gates 1 and 2. It is restaurant-style with craft cocktails and 100 seats, scoring five for coffee, service, quiet, views and crowding. It carries Amex branding, so Canadian Platinum cardholders and one guest get priority.
6. Aspire Lounge and WestJet Garden (Transborder), Calgary
The Calgary transborder lounge opened in 2025 beside the food court in the E gates, after US preclearance. The 216-seat room is built around a garden and scores five for food, drinks, quiet and views, with two showers and a full bar.
7. Luxe by Aspire, Birmingham
Luxe by Aspire opened in 2026 in the main departure area, on the right after World Duty Free and about three minutes from every gate. It seats 104 with a full bar and scores five for drinks, service, views and crowding. Priority Pass and DragonPass members pay a 15 pound upgrade fee at the door, subject to space.
8. Aspire Lounge, San Diego
The San Diego lounge is on the upper level of Terminal 2 East between gates 23 and 33, an 80-seat room with one shower and a full bar, open 5 a.m. to 10 p.m. Food, coffee, service and views score five, but seating, restrooms and crowding are a three, and one 2026 review told readers to stay away because of the crowds.
9. Aspire Lounge, Edinburgh
The Edinburgh lounge is on the first floor near gate 16, after World Duty Free, with 150 seats, a full bar and runway views. Food, service, quiet and restrooms score five. It opens at 4 a.m. every day and closes at 8 p.m., or 7 p.m. on Saturdays.
10. Aspire Lounge (D Gates), Manchester
The new 300-seat Manchester D Gates lounge opened in Terminal 2 in September 2026, next to the Great Northern Food Market. Coffee, drinks, service, quiet and seating score five, but there are no windows, so views score one. Card members must reserve in advance.
11. Aspire Lounge South, Birmingham
Aspire Lounge South was refurbished in 2026 and sits next to gate 1 in the South departure area. It has 135 seats and a full bar, with fives for food and drinks, but quiet and seating are a three. It closes at 6 p.m.
12. Aspire Amex Lounge (Domestic), Calgary
The Calgary domestic lounge opened in September 2026 in the old Chinook Lounge space near gate A21, with food from the restaurant Charcut, Aesop-stocked washrooms and the original fireplace. Canadian Amex Platinum and Centurion cardholders enter free with family. Priority Pass was reported as accepted at opening but was not yet in the directory in October, so confirm at the desk.
Which one to pick on a connection
In Calgary you have three Aspire rooms, and the right one depends on where you are flying: international flyers use the D gates lounge, US-bound flyers use the garden lounge after preclearance, and domestic flyers use the new Amex lounge. In Birmingham, Luxe is worth the upgrade fee over Lounge South if your flight leaves from the north side.
