Travelers using Budapest's non-Schengen Plaza Premium Lounge should check two clocks before heading in: the room's opening time and the bar's. Priority Pass has published revised daily hours for the Terminal 2B lounge.

The network's October 29 update lists 5 a.m. to 11 p.m. daily, with bar service from 7 a.m. to 11 p.m. The individual lounge listing shows the same hours and a maximum stay of two hours.

The lounge is beyond passport control

Priority Pass places the lounge on the mezzanine after security and passport control in the non-Schengen departure area. That location matters as much as the hours when deciding whether it fits your journey.

Do not plan a visit from a Schengen departure simply because the terminal name looks close on a map. Check the route through the airport and whether you can reach the lounge on your itinerary. Any extra border or security step belongs in the time calculation.

If you are connecting, start with the gate and boarding time for the onward flight. A lounge visit is useful only if it leaves enough time to reach the aircraft without rushing.

Opening hours do not describe every service

A room can be open before a particular service begins. In Budapest's case, the published bar schedule starts two hours after the lounge opens. Travelers who choose a lounge for an early drink should read that detail rather than infer it from the opening time.

The update is about the timetable. It is not evidence of a larger room, a new menu or a renovation. We have not inspected a changed food offering and are not presenting one as part of this news.

Check the live listing before travel, especially if your flight is near opening or closing time. A saved screenshot can help with planning, but it should not replace a current check.

Apply your own membership terms

The listing's general facilities and conditions do not establish how much your card or membership will charge for a visit. Check your remaining allowance and the rules for anyone traveling with you.

A lounge may describe how many guests it can admit while your membership sets a separate charge for each person. Those are different questions. Ask about the total for your group before agreeing to entry.

The two-hour stay limit also matters on a long layover. Do not budget for an entire afternoon in the room without checking what happens when that period ends.

Use the time you have

For a short wait, compare the walk and check-in time with simply staying near the gate. For a longer wait, decide whether the space and services justify using an allowance or paying a fee.

If the lounge is the main reason you are arriving early, have a second plan for a meal or a place to work. That is sensible planning rather than a claim that entry will be refused.

Our Budapest airport guide provides local context. The confirmed change is a published timetable for this specific non-Schengen lounge. It should not be extended to every Plaza Premium location or to the airport's other lounges.
