Capital One is offering some existing Venture X Business cardholders a $500 travel credit. The deal marks the card's third birthday. To get it, eligible cardholders must spend $3,000 on bookings made through Capital One Business Travel by December 15, 2026. Capital One announced the offer on September 30, 2026. You can read Capital One's announcement for details.

The offer is only for current cardholders who are eligible. Capital One has not said how it decides who is eligible. It also says the offer runs for a limited time.

How the $500 credit works

The rules are short:

  • The offer started on September 30, 2026.
  • You must spend $3,000 on Capital One Business Travel bookings.
  • The deadline is December 15, 2026.
  • Once you hit the target, you earn a $500 Capital One Business Travel credit.

That means the credit can only be used on the same travel portal. It is not cash back. So it helps most if your business already books trips there.

Capital One is also pushing a hotel perk. Cardholders can get a fourth night free at some hotels in its Premier and Lifestyle Collection. The stay must be four nights or longer and booked through Capital One Business Travel.

What the card already offers

Capital One lists these main features for primary cardholders:

  • 2X miles on every purchase.
  • 10X miles on hotels and rental cars booked through Capital One Business Travel.
  • 5X miles on flights and vacation rentals booked there.
  • A $300 yearly travel credit.
  • A 10,000-mile bonus each year on your card anniversary.
  • No preset spending limit.
  • A $395 annual fee.

On paper, the yearly credit and anniversary miles offset much of the fee. The new $500 credit is a one-time bonus on top of that, for those who qualify.

Lounge access stays the same

The release confirms that the card still includes free access to Capital One Lounges and Capital One Landings. Nothing in the offer changes those rules.

Capital One runs full lounges at airports including Dallas Fort Worth, Denver, Washington Dulles, New York JFK and Las Vegas. Its smaller Landing spaces include Washington National and New York LaGuardia. You can see the full list on our Capital One Lounge page.

The release does not say anything about guest rules. If you plan to bring a coworker, check the current terms before you go.

Is it worth chasing?

For a small business that already spends a few thousand dollars on travel each quarter, the $500 credit is close to free money. You would earn it on trips you were going to book anyway. Those bookings also earn the card's higher portal rates.

For a business that rarely travels, the math is weaker. Spending $3,000 in the portal just to unlock the credit only makes sense if you need the trips.

The deadline is tight. With about 11 weeks between the start of the offer and December 15, it favors businesses with trips already planned for late fall. You can see which lounges the card opens on our Venture X Business card page.
