Delta's big Amex offers die Nov. 4. The catch: only two Delta cards get you into a Sky Club, and just 15 times

The Reserve card's two free round trips and the 200,000-mile business offer end Nov. 4. Here's what each card really gets you at Delta Sky Clubs.

Delta and American Express are running big limited-time card offers, and they end on Nov. 4, 2026. One of them includes something Delta has never offered on this card before: two free round-trip flights.

Before you apply, know this. Of Delta's Amex cards, only the two Reserve cards come with Delta Sky Club visits. Even those have a cap. And Sky Clubs at busy hubs can mean a long line.

The offers, card by card

Delta laid out the deals in its Aug. 27 announcement. They run from Aug. 27 through Nov. 4. Each requires the spending within your first six months. Delta's card page warns that offers vary and you may not be eligible.

  • Delta SkyMiles Reserve ($650 a year): two round-trip Delta Comfort Flight Certificates plus 50,000 bonus miles after $10,000 in purchases. Delta calls this a first for the card.
  • Delta SkyMiles Reserve Business ($650): 200,000 bonus miles after $20,000 in purchases. Delta says it's the highest bonus miles offer this year.
  • Delta SkyMiles Platinum ($350): as high as 90,000 bonus miles plus a $300 statement credit after $4,000.
  • Delta SkyMiles Platinum Business ($350): 100,000 bonus miles after $8,000.
  • Delta SkyMiles Gold ($0 the first year, then $150): as high as 80,000 bonus miles plus a $250 statement credit after $3,000.
  • Delta SkyMiles Gold Business ($0 the first year, then $150): 90,000 bonus miles after $6,000.

The fees above are from Delta's personal card page and its business card page.

The fine print on the free flights

The two certificates on the Reserve card are good for a round trip on Delta-operated flights within the lower 48 states, Puerto Rico and the US Virgin Islands. You can book Delta Comfort or Delta Main. Delta says there are no blackout dates.

There are strings. You must book at least 21 days ahead. You pay taxes and fees of up to $80 per person. Delta says other restrictions apply.

Which cards actually get you into a Sky Club

This is where many people get it wrong. Delta's Sky Club access page lists only the Reserve and Reserve Business cards among Delta's own Amex cards. The Gold and Platinum cards don't include Sky Club entry.

Here is how Reserve access works, according to Delta:

  • 15 visits a year. The year runs Feb. 1 to Jan. 31. A visit lasts up to 24 hours from your first entry, even if you stop at clubs in more than one airport.
  • Unlimited only for big spenders. Spend $75,000 on the card in a calendar year to unlock unlimited visits for the rest of that year and all of the next.
  • Extra visits cost $50. Once you use all 15, each extra visit is $50 per person.
  • Guests cost extra too. You can bring two guests, or your spouse or partner and kids under 21, at $50 each. You also get four one-time guest passes a year, with no more than two used per visit.
  • You must fly Delta that day. Your boarding pass must show a same-day Delta-marketed or Delta-operated flight.
  • No Basic Economy. Delta Main Basic tickets don't get in, with or without the card.
  • Three-hour window. You can enter up to three hours before your scheduled departure. Connecting travelers can use clubs at their connecting airport any time before departure.

Delta's business card page says the Reserve Business card also gets you into Amex's Centurion Lounges and Escape Lounges when you book your Delta flight with the card.

If you hold The Platinum Card from American Express instead, Delta gives you 10 Sky Club visits a year when you fly Delta, with the same $75,000 path to unlimited.

Our take: the club is a bonus, not the reason

The Reserve offer is easy to love. Two domestic round trips can beat 50,000 miles alone, especially on pricey routes. But $10,000 in six months is a lot of spending, and the $650 fee comes back every year.

Do the math on the club. Fifteen visits covers about seven round trips a year if you stop at a club on both legs. For many travelers, that's enough. For road warriors, it runs out by summer. Then each visit costs $50 more, unless you can spend $75,000 a year on one card.

And getting in is not the same as getting a seat. We recently reported on an 80-minute line outside Delta's LaGuardia Sky Club. A card offer can't fix a full club.

So pick the card for the bonus and the perks you'll really use. If the Sky Club is your main goal, the Reserve is the only Delta card that gets you in. Just don't expect it to be a quiet escape every time.

Before Nov. 4

  • Check the offer you're shown before you apply. Delta says not everyone is eligible.
  • Make sure you can meet the spending without carrying a balance. Interest wipes out the value fast.
  • If you mostly fly Basic Economy, a Reserve card won't get you into the club.
