If you fly home from the Bahamas through Nassau, the wait before your flight just got better. New lounges at Lynden Pindling International Airport opened to the public on October 1, 2026, according to The Tribune, Nassau's daily newspaper. Media toured the spaces on September 17, two weeks before the opening.
Who runs them
The lounges are run by Global Lounge Network, a company based in Miami. The Tribune says it has more than 30 years of experience and runs over 80 lounges around the world. The company signed a deal with Nassau Airport Development in March to build and run the lounges at the airport, which most people call LPIA.
Nassau Airport Development is the company that manages the airport. Its own website is the best place to check terminal updates before you travel.
Where they are
There are two spaces, per The Tribune:
- A lounge in Terminal C, for U.S. departures.
- The Lignum Lounge in Terminal A, for domestic flights within the Bahamas.
This matters because many visitors to the Bahamas fly home to the United States. Nassau has U.S. border preclearance, so you clear U.S. immigration and customs before you board. The Terminal C lounge serves those flights.
Who can get in
The Tribune reports three ways in:
- Business and first class passengers.
- Priority Pass members.
- Anyone else, through a day pass.
The paper did not list day-pass prices. Check before you go. If you hold a premium credit card that comes with Priority Pass, this could be a free stop.
The Priority Pass listing for "The Lounge Nassau" in the U.S. Departures Terminal shows it after security and passport control, on the second floor near Gate C41. It lists hours of 6:30 a.m. to 6:30 p.m., a three-hour limit and a smart casual dress code with no shorts or swimwear. Those rules are easy to miss on a beach trip, so pack a change of clothes in your carry-on.
What is inside
According to The Tribune, the lounges serve breakfast, lunch and dinner through the day. Drinks include soft drinks, wine, beer, spirits, tea and coffee. Other features include:
- A children's play area.
- A private meeting space.
- Bathrooms inside the lounge.
- Indoor and outdoor seating, with room for about 100 people.
Aviation Minister JoBeth Coleby-Davis praised the "bright and vibrant decor" and the "superb selection of food and beverage offerings." She said: "We've all been looking forward to this transformation."
Plan your departure day
Leave enough time on your last day. Preclearance adds a step that you would normally do after landing, so the airport part of the trip takes longer than it does at home. A lounge with real food is a big help if you have a long wait after checking out of your hotel.
Nassau is not in our lounge directory yet. If you are connecting in the United States on the way home, check the lounge options at your connecting airport too. Our Miami International page is a good place to start for flights through South Florida.
My take
A Priority Pass lounge with real meals and an outdoor area is a big upgrade for Nassau. I would still check the dress code before you go. Arriving from the beach in shorts and getting turned away would be a sad end to a vacation.
