DFW opened three new lounges in 2026—here’s how they differ

Three openings, three access models

Dallas Fort Worth’s Terminal D added three photographed lounges in 2026, but they are not interchangeable. The Chase Sapphire Lounge by The Club opened near Gate D25 on July 16. Chase’s announcement describes an 18,000-square-foot, split-level space with dining, a whiskey lounge, wellness features, rest pods and showers. Its access rules primarily favor eligible Chase and Ritz-Carlton cardholders.

Near Gate D15, Plaza Premium Lounge and Plaza Premium First offer a different proposition. Both sell admission, but First is the smaller, more premium option, with full-service dining and a higher walk-in price. Plaza Premium’s standard lounge is the more accessible choice for travelers who simply want to buy a quieter place to eat, work or shower.

Which one should you choose?

Start with access. Chase is the obvious first stop for eligible cardholders and currently carries a 4.5 Lounge Frog rating. The standard Plaza Premium Lounge also scores 4.5 and stays open later, while Plaza Premium First scores 4.3 and emphasizes privacy, service and a more polished meal. All three sit after security in Terminal D, making this less a question of distance than benefits, price and the kind of visit you want.
