Abu Dhabi's Zayed International moved everything into Terminal A in late 2023, so there is only one building to think about. The terminal is laid out as four piers around a central hall, and the lounges sit on the north side between Piers C and D. That puts them within a reasonable walk of most gates, and the terminal's wayfinding and walking distances both score five in our ratings. The one exception is the small lounge behind U.S. preclearance, which you can only reach once you have cleared American immigration. Etihad's hub runs around the clock, with departure banks in the early morning and late at night, so every lounge here except the preclearance room is open 24 hours. The choice is less about location and more about what your ticket or card unlocks.
Ratings are Lounge Frog overall scores out of 5.
1. Etihad First Lounge
The Etihad First Lounge scores 4.7, the top mark in Abu Dhabi. It is part of the three-floor Etihad lounge complex between Piers C and D, reached after security and passport control by following signs from the departures level. It never closes. Inside are a craft cocktail bar, two showers and about 150 seats, and reviewers give food, drinks, service, quiet and views full marks. Only Etihad First passengers get in, and Etihad Guest Platinum members can bring one guest. Business class passengers are directed next door.
2. Etihad Business Lounge
The Etihad Business Lounge scores 4.6 and is enormous, with about 600 seats spread over three floors and 18 showers. It sits in the same complex between gates C27 and D43, with the entrance reached by escalators from the departures level, and it is open 24 hours. The full bar, cleanliness, seating and views all score five. Etihad business and first passengers get in, and Etihad Guest Gold and Platinum members can bring one guest. With this much space, crowding is rarely a problem even at the overnight peak.
3. Pearl Lounge (T A)
The Pearl Lounge (T A) scores 3.8 and is the lounge for everyone without an Etihad premium ticket. It is run by Plaza Premium Group on departures level 5 near gate D43, one level above the concourse, and it is open 24 hours. Expect a full bar, six showers and about 300 seats. Priority Pass, LoungeKey and DragonPass members get in and pay about $35 per guest, and walk-up day passes are sold when space allows. Food and service score five, but crowding, quiet and power outlets score two, so arrive early if you want a seat with a socket. Showers score three, so the Etihad rooms are the better bet if your ticket allows.
4. Etihad U.S. Preclearance Lounge
The Etihad U.S. Preclearance Lounge scores 2.7 and opened in 2024 a few steps from the U.S. Customs and Border Protection facility. It serves U.S.-bound Etihad passengers in The Residence, First and Business, plus Etihad Guest Platinum and Emerald members, and access can be bought when there is room. Hours follow the U.S. departure banks: 6 to 10:30 in the morning and 11 at night to 3:30 in the morning. There are no showers and the food is basic. Use the main Etihad lounges first, then come here only once you are ready to clear preclearance.
