A long layover has one honest question attached to it: where can you actually close your eyes? Most lounges are built for a 90-minute visit, not a six-hour gap between flights. So this ranking does not start with food or cocktails. It starts with whether there is somewhere to lie down, then asks how quiet the room is, whether a shower is waiting when you wake, and whether the doors stay open through the night.
How we picked these
Our data records showers, hours, crowding and a quiet score for every lounge, but it does not log beds as a separate amenity. Only one entry here sells you a private room with a daybed. The rest earn their place on a quiet score of 5, a long or 24-hour opening window, a useful shower count, and a crowding score that suggests an empty sofa. Where a lounge scores 4 on quiet we say so. Closed and temporarily closed lounges are excluded, which is why a well-known Los Angeles first lounge is missing. The full leaderboards are at /best/quiet and /best/showers, and the scoring is explained on the methodology page.
The only real bed on the list
Minute Suites at DFW Terminal A is not a lounge in any normal sense. There is no bar and no food, and the overall score of 3.1 reflects that. But it is open 24/7, scores 5 for quiet, and Priority Pass members get one hour in a private suite as a single visit. Up to three companions can share the room free, and extra time runs $40 an hour. For a genuine lie-down between flights at DFW, nothing else in our data comes close.
The overnight hubs: Istanbul, Dubai, Singapore, Doha
The Turkish Airlines Lounge Business at Istanbul is the strongest conventional pick. It is open 24/7, holds 765 people, has 20 showers, and still scores 5 on quiet and crowding. Our photos show a daybed area. Business passengers enter without guests; Star Alliance Gold brings one on a same-day Star flight.
Dubai gives you two options on the same 24/7 schedule. The Emirates First Class Lounge in Concourse A has 20 showers and scores 5 for quiet. Business passengers can upgrade for USD 175, and paid entry is USD 300. The Business Class Lounge in Concourse C is enormous at 1,000 seats, with 12 showers and the same quiet score. Economy passengers can pay USD 175 to get in.
Singapore is the best airport in our data for a card-based overnight. Blossom Lounge in T4, the two Ambassador Transit Lounges in T2 and T3, Plaza Premium in T1 and SATS Premier in T3 all run 24/7 and take Priority Pass, LoungeKey and DragonPass. Blossom leads on an overall 4.9. Ambassador T3 and Plaza Premium T1 each have six showers. SATS Premier scores 4 on quiet, so it goes lower. All five sell walk-up entry when space allows, and Plaza Premium charges by the hour.
Doha's two Oryx Lounges, South and North, are also 24/7 with six showers each and quiet scores of 5. Priority Pass no longer works there since 15 May 2026, so you need LoungeKey, DragonPass or a paid entry. Marhaba Lounge B back in Dubai rounds out the group: 24/7, four showers, walk-up stays of up to eight hours, with a quiet score of 4.
Not all night, but long enough
Several excellent lounges close overnight yet still cover the awkward early-morning or late-evening stretch. Air France's Hall L lounge at CDG runs 05:30 to 23:30 with ten showers and a Clarins spa. Qantas International Business at Sydney has 12 showers and is in a temporary space until early 2027. Plaza Premium Gate 35 at Hong Kong stays open until 01:00 and sells hourly walk-up entry. The American Flagship Lounge at Miami and the United Club mezzanine at Newark both score 5 on quiet with six showers; United sells a $59 one-time pass with a same-day Star Alliance ticket.
Worth knowing before you settle in
Hours in this list are the lounge's own; a 24/7 lounge is only useful if you are airside with a valid boarding pass. Priority Pass entries often carry time caps, and Marhaba limits those visits to three hours. If you want more than a nap, Minute Suites is the only place here that sells the room rather than the sofa.
