Why this list is all Paris

France has lounges at a dozen airports in our directory, but the scores fall off fast outside Charles de Gaulle. The Air France lounge at Orly 3 rates 4.7 and would have placed fourth, but it has no photo on file yet, so it sits this one out. Nothing at Nice, Lyon, Marseille, Bordeaux or Toulouse scores above 3.4. So this is a CDG list, ranked by overall rating, with ties broken by name.

1. Air France Lounge (2E, Hall L)

Air France Lounge (2E, Hall L) is the best lounge in France and the second best in the world on our leaderboard. It is in satellite 3 of Terminal 2E, reached by the automated shuttle, then up the escalator. Renovated in 2018, it holds 500, has ten showers and a Clarins spa. The bar is beer and wine only. Open 5:30 to 23:30. Business class passengers get in but cannot bring guests. Flying Blue Gold, Platinum and SkyTeam Elite Plus can bring one; Ultimate members can bring eight. Only drinks and service dropped to a 4.

2. Air France La Première Lounge

Air France La Première Lounge reopened in 2026 after a redesign. It now covers over 1,000 square meters in the main 2E building on the Hall K side, with an Alain Ducasse dining room, six nap rooms, a Sisley spa and four showers. It holds just 40 people. Only La Première ticket holders get in. No status, alliance or card opens the door. One guest on the same flight is allowed, subject to space. If you have the ticket, you are escorted here from private check-in and driven to the plane after.

3. Qatar Airways Premium Lounge

Qatar Airways Premium Lounge in Terminal 1 is before security, so budget extra time to reach your gate. It opened in 2017 and was refreshed in 2023. Two showers, a full bar, 200 seats and a view toward the Eiffel Tower. Open 5:00 to 22:00. Qatar business and first passengers, Privilege Club Gold and Platinum, and oneworld Emerald and Sapphire get in with one guest.

4. Air France Lounge (2E, Hall K)

Air France Lounge (2E, Hall K) was expanded in 2025 to more than 2,800 square meters over three levels. It is the largest on the list at 638 seats, with six showers, a Clarins treatment area and a private zone for Flying Blue Ultimate members with runway views. Access matches Hall L. It is in the main 2E building, so there is no shuttle ride.

5. Star Alliance Lounge (T1 Schengen/Landside)

The original Star Alliance Lounge (T1 Schengen/Landside) is on level 10 of the Terminal 1 central building, before the satellite security checkpoints. Since 2023 it serves Schengen departures from gates 50 to 78, plus lounge-membership holders from any gate. Two showers downstairs, a full bar, an outdoor patio and 220 seats. Star Alliance Gold members can bring one guest on a same-day Star Alliance flight. Allow time to clear security afterward.

6. Air France Lounge (2E, Hall M)

Air France Lounge (2E, Hall M) in satellite 4 opened in 2012 and is often called the best looking of the 2E lounges. Eight showers, 400 seats, beer and wine. The catch is hours: it closes at 17:00. Same guest policy as the other Air France lounges.

7. Cathay Pacific Lounge

Cathay Pacific Lounge reopened in December 2025 after a long closure, on level 2 of the building that links Terminals 2A and 2C. It is small at 120 seats, with four showers and a full bar. Hours are 6:15 to 12:00, built around the morning Hong Kong departure. Cathay first and business passengers get in. Diamond members bring two guests and Gold members one, on a oneworld flight that day. oneworld Emerald and Sapphire are also admitted.

8. Star Alliance Lounge (T1 Non-Schengen)

The newer Star Alliance Lounge (T1 Non-Schengen) opened in 2023 after passport control, up an elevator in the duty free zone near the YSL store. It serves gates 10 to 38, holds 300 and has four showers. Star Alliance Gold, business and first, United Club All Access and Maple Leaf Club members all qualify. It has won the Skytrax alliance lounge award three years running, though our raters mark it a notch below the landside original on food and crowding.

9. Emirates Lounge

Emirates Lounge opened in 2024 on level 2 of the 2A-2C connecting building, with runway views, 165 seats, two showers and a full bar. Emirates first and business passengers and Skywards Gold and Platinum get in, with one guest. Economy passengers can buy entry on the day.

10. Air France Lounge (2F)

Air France Lounge (2F) is the Schengen hub lounge, redone in 2021 across two levels at the junction of the 2F piers. It holds 570 and has ten showers, which is unusual for a short-haul lounge. Coffee and restrooms score 3, which drags the overall to 4.2. Open 5:30 to 22:00. If you are on an intra-Europe Air France flight with status, this is the one you get.
