What the Platinum Card opens

The Platinum Card from American Express unlocks five lounge networks: Centurion, Priority Pass, Plaza Premium, Escape and, when you fly Delta, the Delta Sky Club. These are the ten best-rated lounges in our directory that the card gets you into, counting only lounges with photos on file that are open today.

Eight score 4.9 overall and two score 4.8. Within each score, lounges are listed alphabetically by name, and each entry notes which network admits you. The list is frozen as published.

What changed since September

The Lufthansa deal is over. Since October 1, a Platinum or Centurion card no longer opens Lufthansa lounges, so none of them count here. That change did not touch the top ten, because no Lufthansa lounge made it last month either, but it matters if you connect through Frankfurt or Munich.

Chase pulled its Sapphire Lounges out of Priority Pass over the summer, so the Phoenix Sapphire Lounge that sat tenth in September is out. The Adani Lounge in Mumbai drops out too, for a duller reason: it has no photo on file this month. The Marhaba Lounge in Melbourne moves up to take one place, and the Delta Sky Club at San Francisco takes the other.

Priority Pass does most of the work

Six of the ten are Priority Pass lounges, and three of those also sit in Amex's own Plaza Premium arrangement, which means you can enter them with the card itself rather than a Priority Pass membership. The Plaza Premium lounges at Rome Terminal 3, Heathrow Terminal 4 and Heathrow Terminal 5 all score 4.9. Using the card directly is the better route at busy times, because Plaza Premium reserves space for its own partners before Priority Pass walk-ins.

Blossom Lounge in Singapore's Terminal 4 leads the Priority Pass group, and its neighbor, the Ambassador Transit Lounge in Terminal 3, is the one to use if you leave from there. The No1 Lounge at Gatwick South is the London pick.

Amex's own room in Dallas

The Centurion Lounge at Dallas Fort Worth is the only Amex-run lounge in the ten, with craft cocktails, four showers and a 4.9. It is also the one with the strictest rules. Guests must be on your flight, you can enter no more than three hours before departure, and a connection longer than five hours does not count unless you leave the airport. Our rules explainer walks through all of it.

Philadelphia's Centurion Lounge, which scores 4.8, closes on October 16 for a rebuild that runs into late 2027, so it is left off this list on purpose.

Know the Delta conditions

The two Sky Clubs, at Honolulu and San Francisco, admit Platinum cardholders only on a same-day Delta flight, and not on basic economy. Visits are capped at ten per year unless you spend enough on the card to unlock unlimited access. On a Delta ticket, though, both are among the best rooms Delta runs, and Honolulu's apron view is hard to beat.

See every lounge the Platinum Card opens for the full list and its rules, and compare it with the Sapphire Reserve and Venture X if you are weighing cards.
