Heathrow T5's Club Aspire stays open until Nov. 15 before it becomes a bigger No1 Lounge
Project delays have pushed the closure of Club Aspire in Heathrow Terminal 5 back by almost two weeks. The space reopens as a larger No1 Lounge in spring 2027.

If you fly out of Heathrow Terminal 5 in early November, you have a little more time to use Club Aspire. The lounge will now stay open until November 15, 2026, according to Head for Points. The earlier plan was to close it on November 2. The site says the change is due to project delays on the lounge's extension and rebranding.
You can see the current lounge on our Club Aspire Lounge (T5) page.
What is replacing Club Aspire
The space will reopen as a No1 Lounge. No1 Lounges calls it a new flagship and its premier UK location. On its own announcement page, the company says the new lounge opens in "early Spring 2027." It promises more room to relax, more seating choice and a better pre-flight experience.
Head for Points shared more detail when the plan was first revealed in September:
- The lounge grows from 435 to 557 square meters, about 28% bigger.
- It will have 152 seats, 13 more than today.
- No1 says guests get 16% more space each, and 95% of seats will have power.
- There will be more seats for solo travelers.
- Rooms will include The Reception, The Lounge, The Library and The Orangery.
- The buffet moves into The Pantry, an all-day servery.
- The design is a modern take on a British country home, with stone, oak and brass.
Pre-booked passes start from £38, according to the same report. It says you are not guaranteed entry without booking ahead.
Why this matters in Terminal 5
Terminal 5 is British Airways' home. Most of its lounges are run by BA and are open only to BA and oneworld premium travelers and elites. If you do not have that status, Club Aspire is one of the few ways into a lounge in the building.
Our directory lists Club Aspire T5 as part of Priority Pass, DragonPass, LoungeKey, Aspire and No1 Lounges access. No1 has not said which lounge networks will be accepted at the new lounge. Check again closer to the opening before you count on a card benefit.
From November 16 until the new lounge opens, this space will be closed for several months. Plan for that if you usually use a lounge network at Heathrow. You can see what else is at the airport on our Heathrow page.
What to do before you fly
If you are flying from T5 before November 15, Club Aspire is still open. It can get busy, so pre-book if you can. If you fly after that date, look at your options in advance:
- If you have BA or oneworld status, or a premium ticket, the BA lounges are not affected by this change.
- If you rely on a lounge network, search our Heathrow page for other lounges that accept your card, and check which terminal each one is in.
- A good meal at a T5 restaurant may be the simplest plan for a few months.
Dates on projects like this can move again. Check the lounge's own booking page shortly before you travel.
My take
Two extra weeks is a small win, but the bigger story is the months-long gap that follows. A larger lounge with more power outlets is welcome, since the current room fills up fast. I would wait to hear which cards and networks No1 accepts before getting excited.
