Who gets into a No1 Lounge

No1 Lounges are open to any departing passenger, on any airline and in any cabin, as long as you book or pay at the door. Entry runs from about 40 pounds and is limited to three hours before departure. Priority Pass, LoungeKey and DragonPass members get in free, with guests charged at the card's rate, and the busier London lounges let card members pre-book a slot for a small fee. A few partner airlines, including Turkish Airlines at Gatwick South and Virgin Atlantic at Heathrow Terminal 3, send their premium passengers here too. Stag and hen parties are turned away everywhere.

We ranked every open No1 Lounge with a photo on file, which is all six. Heathrow Terminal 5 is getting a new No1 Lounge in the space Club Aspire vacates on November 2, and we will add it once it opens and has a photo.

1. No1 Lounge (South), London Gatwick

The Gatwick South lounge is the top-rated lounge in the network, with a five on every metric except showers, which gets a four. It is on the upper level of the departure lounge between JD Sports and InMotion, with 150 seats, two showers and a full bar, open 4 a.m. to 9 p.m. It is also where Turkish Airlines and TAP send their business passengers. If you fly from Gatwick South on a card, there is no reason to go anywhere else.

2. No1 Lounge (North), London Gatwick

The Gatwick North lounge is behind the glass double doors past the Airport Lounges signs, with the same 150 seats, two showers and full bar as its South sibling and the same 4 a.m. to 9 p.m. hours. Drinks, service, seating, showers, crowding and restrooms score five. Food and coffee are a four, which is the only gap between the two Gatwick rooms.

3. No1 Lounge (T3), London Heathrow

The Heathrow Terminal 3 lounge reopened in April 2025 after a rebuild that removed the old showers, spa and bedrooms, so there are no showers now. It is on the first floor next to the Clubrooms lounge, with which it shares the Orangery, up the stairs just before the British Airways lounges. Coffee, cleanliness, quiet, seating and Wi-Fi score five, and it is open 5 a.m. to 10 p.m. Virgin Atlantic and IndiGo premium passengers are admitted.

4. No1 Lounge (Luton), London Luton

The Luton lounge opened in December 2023 in the old Clubrooms space next to gate 17, a 70-seat room with apron views and a full bar. Food, coffee, service and views score four, but drinks are a two and seating a three. It is small, so pre-book if you are using a card. Hours are 4 a.m. to 8 p.m.

5. No1 Lounge (T2), London Heathrow

The Heathrow Terminal 2 lounge opened in December 2024 in a windowless room on the second floor of T2A, reached by elevator from the fourth floor past the Louis Vuitton cafe. It holds 90 and is open 5 a.m. to 9 p.m. Food, drinks and service are a four, but crowding and workspace score two and views score one. It is better than nothing in a terminal short on card lounges, and that is the kindest thing to say.

6. No1 Lounge, Birmingham

The Birmingham lounge is on the mezzanine between WHSmith and JD Sports, with a sports lounge, a bistro area and runway views. The views score four and nothing else scores above three. Crowding, quiet and workspace are a two, and one 2026 review called it the most stressful lounge the writer had visited. Priority Pass members get unlimited guests at a fee, but Birmingham now has newer Aspire rooms that are better bets.

Which one to pick on a connection

At Gatwick the choice is made by your terminal, and both rooms are good. At Heathrow, the Terminal 3 lounge is a solid pick on a card, while the Terminal 2 lounge is a last resort. At Birmingham, skip No1 and look at Aspire's Luxe or Lounge South instead. At Luton, book ahead or expect to be turned away at peak times.
