SAS will begin serving coffee developed with Lykke Coffee Farms across its network from February 2027. A broader concept, including coffee in SAS lounges and selected EuroBonus earning offers, is due to follow later that year.
The timing is the useful distinction for travelers. The partnership was announced on September 30, 2026, but the airline is describing a future rollout. An autumn flight or lounge visit should not be booked on the assumption that the new coffee is already being served.
The onboard launch comes first
The airline's announcement says the coffee is being developed for drinking in flight. SAS frames the partnership as an improvement to an everyday part of the journey, rather than a change limited to a new aircraft or a single route.
The stated first step is introduction across the network from February 2027. The release does not give a day-by-day rollout, flight list or complete menu. It also does not set out separate service rules for every cabin.
That leaves a few practical details for later. Travelers who care about a particular drink should check the menu on their booked flight when the launch approaches. The announcement is a timetable for the program, rather than a guarantee of every beverage on every departure.
SAS executives also refer to coffee and tea in explaining the partnership. The release's clearest launch commitment concerns the new coffee; it does not provide a full tea range or its own detailed schedule.
Lounges are part of the later phase
SAS says the full SAS and Lykke concept will follow later in 2027, and travelers will then be able to enjoy the new coffee in its lounges. It does not name an exact date for each room.
Lounge Frog lists the Copenhagen SAS Lounge, Stockholm Arlanda SAS Lounge and Oslo SAS Lounge. These pages are useful for planning the airport stop, while the airline's new beverage schedule remains a separate question.
The Oslo domestic room and Gothenburg SAS Lounge are other directory options. Check your route and eligibility rather than assuming a coffee partnership adds entry rights.
The airline also has a new Copenhagen lounge planned for June 2027. The two announcements share a year, but the coffee release does not tie every beverage change to that building's opening.
EuroBonus earning details are still to come
SAS says selected offers and an expanded partnership will let travelers earn EuroBonus points through coffee-related purchases on the SAS Lykke platform.
The release does not publish an earning rate, minimum purchase, offer start date or list of eligible products. There is no basis yet for calculating a return on a coffee purchase.
Wait for the actual terms before comparing the offer with other ways to earn. Check which member number must be supplied, when points post and whether an order can qualify for more than one promotion.
What the sourcing claims mean
SAS describes Lykke as working directly with farmers, including producers in Uganda, and says the model provides traceability from farm to cup. Lykke says it runs and owns coffee projects with farmers who are partners in the business.
Those are the companies' descriptions of the supply relationship. The release does not provide an independent environmental assessment or a full accounting of how revenue is shared.
The passenger-facing change is simpler: a new coffee supplier and concept, with the aircraft rollout first and lounges later. For a 2027 trip, check the final menu and the current SkyTeam lounge rules as the travel date approaches.
