Who gets into a Virgin Atlantic Clubhouse
Upper Class passengers get into every Clubhouse, and Flying Club Gold members get in with one guest on the same Virgin Atlantic flight. Delta One passengers and some Delta Sky Club members get in on same-day Delta or Virgin international flights at the US Clubhouses, but not at Heathrow, where Virgin tightened the rules in 2023 and an Amex Platinum Sky Club benefit does not count. Most of the US Clubhouses also sell Priority Pass entry in off-peak windows, usually for a fee and often without the bar.
We ranked every open Clubhouse with a photo on file. The Johannesburg Clubhouse has no photo yet, so it is not here. Virgin's Revivals arrivals lounge at Heathrow is a different kind of room, so we mention it at the end rather than rank it.
1. Virgin Atlantic Clubhouse, New York JFK
The JFK Clubhouse is on the upper level of Terminal 4 Concourse A above gates A4 and A5, and it is the best Virgin lounge by our scores. It holds 120, has four showers and a craft cocktail bar, and scores five for food, drinks, coffee, service, seating, crowding and restrooms. It opens in two blocks, 5 a.m. to 8 a.m. and 2 p.m. to 11:30 p.m., around the London flights. Priority Pass members are admitted until 1:30 p.m. only, with showers at $15, so the afternoon Upper Class crowd has the room to itself.
2. Virgin Atlantic Clubhouse, London Heathrow
The Heathrow Clubhouse is the flagship, refreshed in 2026, in the Lounge H zone of Terminal 3 on the connector toward gates 13 to 22. Upper Class passengers can walk straight in from the Upper Class Wing. It seats 300, has eight showers and a craft cocktail bar, and scores five for food, service, seating, crowding, restrooms and workspace. Hours are 5:30 a.m. to 10:30 p.m. Access is the strictest in the network: Upper Class, Flying Club Gold and a short list of partner elites, with no paid or card entry.
3. Virgin Atlantic Clubhouse, Los Angeles
The LAX Clubhouse opened in 2025 on Level 6 of the Tom Bradley International Terminal, reached by the clock tower elevator or the escalators from Level 5. Reviewers call it stylish but small. Food, drinks, coffee and service score five, and views score one, because there are none. It is open from 11:30 a.m. to midnight, about four hours before the first Virgin departure, and Priority Pass members can pay to enter between 8 a.m. and 10:30 p.m. when there is space.
4. Virgin Atlantic Clubhouse, San Francisco
The San Francisco Clubhouse is a 60-seat room on level 5 of International Terminal A, up the elevator after you turn left past security. It has two showers and a craft cocktail bar, and it scores five for coffee, seating, views and cleanliness. Food, service, quiet and Wi-Fi are a three. Hours are 9 a.m. to 11:30 p.m., and Priority Pass works in two short windows, roughly 9 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. and 5:30 p.m. to 7:15 p.m., with a three-hour cap.
5. Virgin Atlantic Clubhouse, Washington Dulles
The Dulles Clubhouse is across from gate A32 on Concourse A, a 60-seat room with one shower and a craft cocktail bar, open 9 a.m. to 10 p.m. Food, drinks and restrooms score five, but coffee, service, crowding and workspace are a three. Priority Pass members get in from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. and 6 p.m. to 10 p.m., buffet only, with alcohol and showers at extra cost. SkyTeam Elite Plus members get in with a guest on the same Virgin or Delta flight.
Which one to pick on a connection
If you are flying Virgin or Delta from JFK or Heathrow, go early: both Clubhouses reward a long visit, and the Heathrow one is the bigger and better-equipped room. At LAX, the Clubhouse is good but tight, so Delta One passengers with a choice should compare what Delta offers in the same terminal. At Dulles and San Francisco, the Clubhouse is a pleasant hour, not an afternoon. Arriving at Heathrow in Upper Class, the Revivals lounge on the first floor of Terminal 3 has 20 showers and is open until 12:30 p.m.
