Okay, well-traveled people, I need advice. My flight out of Tokyo was delayed long enough that I’m going to miss my connecting flight home, but ANA sent me an email saying they had found me an alternative flight and I should click a link to confirm. Problem is the link doesn’t work.

We flew to Haneda with ANA and their service was really amazing! We also were lucky with our neighbour switching seats and spotting Mount Fuji in the distance.

Your travel story reminds me of when our return from our honeymoon in Japan was delayed by a typhoon. ANA couldn't rebook our nonstop flight to NYC. I was like "can you just get us to the US?" They found a Tokyo-to-Seattle flight, and then I had enough Delta points to save $200 on our tickets home.

@RoboticistDuck I just hope the people check my pocket for my Myna Hoken and town-issued paper insurance card, and not assume I'm not insured because: gaijin. I have a good anecdote about how ANA helped me in December 2017(?) when I got sick on the flight back from stateside.

Omg! I heard terrible things about Air Canada. Even though they were the cheapest from my airport, I avoided them! I also flew ANA and I would 100% fly with them again.

Yeah, the flight I had was EWR-NRT on United and then NRT-MNL on ANA (partner airline) so my luggage was checked through and no need to change airports. It's pretty good, but only downside is that EWR-NRT route can be expensive.

(And you slightly disparage ANA, but I loved my 2019 flight with them, because I ended up on the BB-8 plane, so everything from the pre-flight announcements, to the napkins, to the flight attendants' aprons were BB-8 themed, which was fun.)

Flew back in ANA business class (our first flight facing the back of the plane!) and it was so comfortable. We both slept through most of the flight (but started it with synced up movies like how we did long distance date night for 4.5 years 🥰🥰🥰)
