Alaska Airlines members now have new ways to spend their miles that have nothing to do with flying. Atmos Rewards, the loyalty program shared by Alaska Airlines and Hawaiian Airlines, is adding ski trips, golf getaways and private shopping events. The airline announced the new options on October 7, 2026. You can read Alaska's announcement for details.
The new offers come through Atmos Unlocked. Alaska describes it as the program's marketplace for trading points for experiences. The three new partners are Alterra Mountain Company, Nordstrom and Pebble Beach Resorts.
Heli-skiing, golf and a private shopping trip
Here is what Alaska says is coming:
- Ski trips with Ikon Pass. Alterra runs the Ikon Pass. Alaska says members can use points this season on a CMH heli-skiing package and on ski-and-stay offers at Steamboat Ski Resort. One Steamboat bundle includes a lift ticket, First Tracks and access to the True West lounge on the mountain. The lineup also includes 2026/27 Ikon Pass bundles. Alaska names Crystal Mountain and Palisades Tahoe among the mountains in the program.
- Ski days for members. Alaska plans a weekly Atmos Members Day on the slopes, along with other events during the season.
- Private holiday shopping at Nordstrom. Starting this season, members can use points on private holiday shopping events at Nordstrom stores in seven markets. Alaska names Seattle, Portland, Honolulu, Los Angeles and New York City.
- Pebble Beach. Members will be able to use points for golf at Pebble Beach Resorts. Alaska is also the official airline of Pebble Beach Food & Wine. It says it plans stay-and-play packages, hosted golf and food and wine packages.
Alaska has not said how many points any of these offers will cost. It also has not said how many spots each one will have. New offers go live on Atmos Members Day, which falls on the first Wednesday of each month.
Why points for experiences matter
Most people use airline miles for flights. That is still the main deal in Atmos Rewards. But programs like this one are adding more ways to spend points on things you cannot easily buy with cash.
The risk is value. Points spent on a shopping event or a golf day may be worth more or less than the same points spent on a flight. Without prices, there is no way to compare yet. Once Alaska posts point prices, it is worth checking them against the cash price of the same trip.
These offers may appeal most to members on the West Coast. Seattle and Portland are on the Nordstrom list. Crystal Mountain sits in Washington state. Alaska itself calls it a strong local link for Pacific Northwest members.
What it means at the airport
This news does not change lounge access. Alaska's release does not mention its airport lounges. The True West lounge in the Steamboat bundle is a lodge at the ski resort, not an airport lounge.
If you want to know where Alaska's own lounges are and who can get in, see our Alaska Lounge page. You can also find routes and lounges on our Alaska Airlines page.
The next Atmos Members Day is the first Wednesday of November. That is when members should watch for new drops. Members can sign up for the Members Day email in their Atmos Rewards account settings.
