Houston Bush is a United fortress with five terminals, and the Skyway train ties them together behind security. That matters more here than at most airports, because the two best United rooms are in Terminal E while many United flights leave from B and C. A train ride of a few minutes gets you between them without clearing security again. Terminal D is the international building, with the Centurion Lounge and the foreign carriers. Terminal A is the odd one out, home to American and a small United Club. With the Terminal B club closed for a rebuild, the train is doing a lot of work this year.
Ratings are Lounge Frog overall scores out of 5, with ties listed alphabetically.
1. United Club (E)
The United Club (E) scores 4.7, the top mark at Houston. It is between gates E11 and E12, next to the Polaris Lounge, with a full bar, two showers and about 250 seats. Hours are 5:30 in the morning to 9 at night. United Club members and Star Alliance Gold travelers get in with a same-day United or Star Alliance ticket, and one-time passes cost $59. If you are flying United from any terminal and have an hour to spare, ride the Skyway here.
2. The Centurion Lounge
The Centurion Lounge scores 4.6 and is the hardest lounge at the airport to find. Take the elevator inside the Duty Free shop near gate D12 down one floor, then follow the art-lined hallway. Inside are a craft cocktail bar, two showers and about 220 seats, open from 6 in the morning to 9:30 at night. Platinum cardholders pay $50 per guest unless they spend $75,000 a year. On October 8, 2026, American Express announced plans to expand the lounge from about 8,000 to more than 23,000 square feet, with completion expected in 2028. Closure dates for the work have not been confirmed.
3. United Polaris Lounge
The United Polaris Lounge scores 4.6 and has six showers, the most at Houston. It is on the concourse level of Terminal E near gate E12, with a craft cocktail bar and about 250 seats. Hours are 5:30 in the morning to 8:15 at night. Only Polaris business passengers and Star Alliance long-haul business and first class passengers get in, with no guests. A United Club membership will not open the door.
4. American Airlines Admirals Club
The American Airlines Admirals Club scores 4.1 and is a compact room of about 90 seats near gates A25 and A26 in Terminal A. It has a full bar but no showers, and it opens from 4:15 in the morning to 7:45 at night. Members bring immediate family or two guests, and a day pass costs $79 or 7,900 miles with a same-day American or oneworld ticket. Reviewers praise the drinks and the service and mark it down for seating and restrooms.
5. United Club (C south)
The United Club (C south) also scores 4.1. It is up the escalator at the south end of Terminal C toward gate C33, with a full bar and about 200 seats but no showers. Hours are 5:30 in the morning to 9 at night. Food and drinks score five, while quiet and seating score three, which tells you it gets busy.
6. United Club (C north)
The United Club (C north) scores 4.0 and mirrors its sibling at the other end of the terminal, near gate C1. It keeps the same hours and the same full bar, with about 200 seats and no showers. Pick whichever is closer to your gate. Neither is worth a walk past the other.
7. KLM Crown Lounge
The KLM Crown Lounge scores 3.0 and opened in 2023 near gate D16 in Terminal D. It is a small room of about 90 seats with a full bar and no showers, open from 6 in the morning to 9 at night. KLM and SkyTeam business passengers enter without guests, and Flying Blue Gold and Platinum members can bring one. Priority Pass works for a three-hour stay, but entry may be refused between 12:30 and 6:45 in the afternoon when it is full.
8. United Club (A)
The United Club (A) scores 2.7 and is the smallest United space at the airport, across from gate A9. It has a full bar, no showers and short hours from 7:30 in the morning to 7 at night. It makes the list only because it is open and photographed. If your flight leaves from A and you have time, the Skyway to Terminal E is a better use of it.
Where to look next
The full ranking is at the best lounges at IAH, every terminal is on the Houston Bush airport page, and the scoring is explained on the methodology page. The HAS Executive Club in Terminal D, which scores 2.7 and serves British Airways, Emirates and EVA Air premium passengers, was left out for lack of a photo. The United Club in Terminal B has been closed since January 2025 for a rebuild that United says will produce its largest club. United Club Fly in Terminal B is a grab-and-go counter without seats, and the Air France Lounge in Terminal D scores 1.7, so neither made the cut.
