Dublin Airport has finished its lounge overhaul. The 51st&Green Lounge, the only lounge beyond US Preclearance in Terminal 2, reopened on April 1, 2026 after about six months closed for a full refurbishment and extension, Business Traveller reported. Two weeks later, on April 16, the new two-level Phoenix Lounge opened in Terminal 1 with more than 300 seats, roughly double the old T1 Lounge it replaced, per Travel Extra. Both have now had a full summer of traffic.
What you pay and who gets in free
51st&Green is open 07:15 to 17:00 daily, matching the US departure bank, with a two-hour maximum stay. Dublin Airport now lists €45 online and €55 at the door, up from the €42 and €50 quoted at reopening. Business class passengers and eligible elites on Aer Lingus, American, Delta and United get in free. Two alcoholic drinks per person are included; there is a central bar with Guinness on draught, a hot and cold buffet, workstations and an accessible shower.
The Phoenix Lounge runs 04:00 to 21:00, costs from €35 online or more at reception, and also caps visits at two hours. It accepts DragonPass but is not in Priority Pass, which means the Liffey Lounge in Terminal 2 remains the Priority Pass option. The Martello Lounge in T2 and the Aer Lingus Lounge round out the airport.
Our take
Both lounges are better than what they replaced, and Dublin now has a coherent set of airport-run lounges rather than a collection of tired rooms. The two-hour cap is the catch. For a transatlantic passenger who has cleared two sets of security and preclearance, two hours is tight, and at €55 walk-up it is one of the more expensive pay-in lounges in Europe for the time allowed. Book online, arrive with your preclearance done, and treat it as a meal and a shower rather than a place to spend the afternoon.
