Singapore Airlines and Scoot announced their 2026 Time To Fly promotion on October 13, offering more than 380,000 discounted tickets. Online sales will run from October 23 through October 30, not from today.
Singapore Airlines will offer more than 200,000 discounted return tickets across business, premium economy and economy. Its selected-flight promotion covers 78 destinations from Singapore, for travel between January 1 and September 30, 2027.
Scoot will offer more than 180,000 discounted tickets across ScootPlus and economy, covering 70 destinations. Its travel window runs from November 9, 2026, through October 15, 2027. Blackout dates and other conditions apply. A physical fair is scheduled at Singapore's Suntec convention center from October 23 to 25. These details come from the official joint release.
The ticket count is not a promise for your dates
The headline describes promotional inventory across the airlines. It does not guarantee that a specific flight will have a discounted seat when you search. A traveler with fixed dates needs to compare the actual itinerary available during the promotion.
There is also a basic comparison problem: Singapore Airlines' return tickets and Scoot's one-way tickets are not the same unit. To compare a round trip, include both directions and the conditions attached to each fare. Do not compare one advertised leg with an entire return journey.
What to do before October 23
Make a short list of routes and dates that would work. Record the current complete fare for each option, including anything you would need to add. That gives you a reference when the promotional inventory becomes available.
The useful question is not whether a fare has a sale label. It is whether the available ticket is a better purchase for the trip you want. A lower price on the wrong date, with conditions you cannot use, may not be a saving.
If your dates are flexible, identify the limits of that flexibility before searching. Decide which airports and departure times you would accept. That is easier than trying to judge every possible alternative while a booking session is open.
Compare the ticket, not just the airline name
Check baggage, changes, cancellation terms and any extras in the displayed offer. The announcement does not establish a single set of fare conditions for every promoted ticket. The booking details are the place to confirm them.
Travelers connecting from another country should also calculate the trip to Singapore Changi. A fare beginning there may be useful, but it is not automatically a discount on a through-ticket from your home airport.
For the airport portion of the trip, consult our Changi lounge guide. A discounted ticket does not itself establish lounge access.
No individual fare has been priced for this article, so it does not name a cheapest destination or a guaranteed percentage saving.
The takeaway
Today's development is the sale announcement. The opportunity to buy under the online promotion begins October 23. Use the time between now and then to compare real dates and establish a baseline price.
See Singapore Airlines in our directory for airline context, and check the Scoot media center for the dated announcement.
Keep a copy of the fare you compare and note whether it covers one direction or a return journey. That small step can prevent a misleading comparison when the promotional booking window opens.
