Singapore Airlines runs some of the most admired lounges in the world, and the surprise in this ranking is that the top score belongs to London, not Changi. Here is how the photographed SilverKris lounges compare, and who gets through the door.

Who gets into a SilverKris lounge

Singapore Airlines splits its lounges by cabin and by status. Suites and First Class passengers and Solitaire PPS Club members use the First Class SilverKris lounges. Business Class passengers, PPS Club members and KrisFlyer Elite Gold members use the Business Class SilverKris lounges. Star Alliance Gold members and business passengers on other Star Alliance airlines get in too, and Gold members can bring one guest. At Changi, KrisFlyer Elite Gold and Star Alliance Gold members flying economy are routed to the separate KrisFlyer Gold lounges, which are also run by the airline.

This is a short list, and we should explain why. Lounge Frog ranks only lounges with a verified photo on file. The big Changi lounges, the Melbourne, Sydney and Hong Kong rooms and both KrisFlyer Gold lounges are all rated 4.4 or higher, but none has a photo yet. The Taipei lounge is closing on November 1. That leaves three photographed, open SilverKris lounges, and here they are.

1. Singapore Airlines SilverKris Lounge, London Heathrow

The SilverKris Lounge at Heathrow is the best Singapore Airlines lounge outside Changi, and after its 2024 refurbishment it outscores most of what is at home. It sits in the T2B satellite, Lounge B2, near gate B36. There is no train, so you walk the tunnel from T2A and take the escalators up. The lounge holds 192 people across business and first sections, with two showers, a full bar and a dining area that scores five for food and coffee. Service, seating, views and crowding all score five as well. It is open from 5:30 a.m. to 10 p.m. Virgin Atlantic Flying Club Gold members flying Singapore Airlines are also admitted, which is a quirk worth knowing.

2. Singapore Airlines SilverKris First Class Lounge (T2), Changi

The First Class SilverKris Lounge in Terminal 2 opened in 2025 as the airline's first dedicated first class lounge in that terminal. It is open 24 hours on Level 3 near the E gates, up the escalator past the Enchanted Garden. The room holds 130, with five showers, a craft cocktail bar and table-service dining, and it scores five for drinks, seating, restrooms and workspace. Entry is for Suites and First Class passengers, Solitaire PPS Club members and Star Alliance first class passengers, each with one guest on the same flight. The Private Room is still a Terminal 3 thing, so do not expect it here. Wi-Fi is the weak spot at three.

3. SilverKris Lounge, Bangkok

The SilverKris Lounge in Bangkok is on Level 3 of Concourse D at Suvarnabhumi, opposite gate D7, and is open from 6:30 a.m. to 11 p.m. It has a full bar and a buffet that reviewers praise, with food and drinks both scoring five. There are no showers, and quiet is only a three because the room fills before the evening departures to Singapore. Business and first passengers, PPS Club and KrisFlyer Elite Gold members, and Star Alliance Gold members on a same-day Star Alliance flight all get in. Our rating is editorial, based on published facilities and linked reviews rather than a firsthand visit.

Which one to pick on a connection

In London you have one choice and it is a good one. If you hold Star Alliance Gold and are flying another Star carrier from Terminal 2, the SilverKris Lounge is a better room than the shared alternatives. At Changi, a first class ticket from Terminal 2 now gets a proper first lounge rather than a corner of the business one. Business passengers in Terminal 2 and Terminal 3 should use the SilverKris Business lounges, which we will rank once photos are on file. In Bangkok, arrive early if you want a quiet seat, because the lounge gets busy in the two hours before the Singapore bank of flights.
