Two cards, no shared lounges
The Business Platinum Card from American Express opens Priority Pass, Centurion Lounge, Plaza Premium, and Escape Lounges, with Delta Sky Club on top when you are flying Delta the same day.
The United Club Business Card from Chase does one thing. It unlocks United Club. There is no Priority Pass underneath and no third-party network to fall back on. At a United hub that focus is the whole point; anywhere else the card has little to say at the lounge door.
What $895 buys over $450
Breadth. Four networks that work whatever you fly, plus conditional Delta access. That is the entire case for the Business Platinum, and it is a strong one for mixed-carrier travel, for international itineraries where Priority Pass and Plaza Premium fill the gaps, and for anyone who values a Centurion Lounge at their home airport.
The United card wins for a business that lives on United metal, particularly through hubs where United Club locations cluster. On those routes you would pay a great deal more for the Amex and mostly use lounges you could not reach with it anyway. Both are business products with their own spending perks, but only lounge value is measured here.
