How the list was built

Lounge Frog has lounges on file at more than fifteen Spanish airports. We ranked them by overall rating and kept only those with a photo. Madrid dominates. Two Madrid lounges, Sala VIP Retiro and Sala VIP Gran Vía, score 4.7 and 4.5 but have no photo yet, so they are left out. Barcelona's Terminal 1 lounges all rate 3.0 or lower, which is why only its Terminal 2 lounge appears. Aena, the airport operator, runs the Sala VIP lounges, and all of them take Priority Pass, LoungeKey and DragonPass unless noted.

1. Iberia Premium Lounge Dalí, Madrid T4

Iberia Premium Lounge Dalí is on the upper level of T4's Schengen departures floor between the J and K gates. It was renovated in 2021, holds 500, has six showers and a full bar. Open 6:00 to 23:00. Business class passengers, Iberia Plus Oro and Platino, and oneworld Sapphire and Emerald get in with one guest. It scores 5 on ten of fourteen metrics.

2. Iberia Premium Lounge Velázquez, Madrid T4S

Iberia Premium Lounge Velázquez is the long-haul flagship in the T4S satellite, reached by train from T4. It is huge, with 800 seats and ten showers, and stays open until 1:00. Access matches Dalí. Food and showers score 5. If you are connecting to a oneworld long-haul flight, this is where you want to be.

3. Sala VIP Cibeles, Madrid T1

Sala VIP Cibeles is on the second floor of Terminal 1's non-Schengen boarding area, next to gates B26 to B29. It is open 24 hours, has two showers and a full bar, and holds 200. You need a T1 boarding pass. Priority Pass, LoungeKey and DragonPass work, and day passes are sold when there is room. Food, coffee and views all score 5.

4. Sala VIP Neptuno, Madrid T4S

Sala VIP Neptuno is the Aena lounge in T4S, on the second floor near the R and S gates, open around the clock. Two showers, a full bar and 150 seats. For Priority Pass holders on a non-Schengen flight from Madrid, this is the best option in the country.

5. Sala VIP Puerta de Alcalá, Madrid T2

Sala VIP Puerta de Alcalá is upstairs near gate D62 in Terminal 2, serving domestic and Schengen flights. Open 24 hours, self-serve bar, two showers, 150 seats. SkyTeam carriers use it for Elite Plus and premium passengers on T2 flights, so Air France and KLM flyers end up here too. Crowding scores a 5.

6. Sala VIP Plaza Mayor, Madrid T4

Sala VIP Plaza Mayor is on the first floor of T4's Schengen boarding area and is the pay-in alternative to Iberia's Dalí lounge. Open 5:00 to midnight, though Priority Pass lists 22:00. Full bar, two showers, 200 seats. Food and drinks both rate 5. Exclusivity rates 2, because anyone with a card can get in.

7. Sala VIP Puerta del Sol, Madrid T3

Sala VIP Puerta del Sol is the smallest Madrid lounge here at 100 seats, on the second floor near gate E81 in Terminal 3. Open 4:30 to 21:30, though Priority Pass lists 19:00. Self-serve drinks, two showers. Air France, KLM and Air Europa send their elites here. Coffee and service score 3.

8. Iberia Emerald Lounge Sorolla, Madrid T4

Iberia Emerald Lounge Sorolla opened in September 2026 next to the Dalí lounge, just after T4 security. It is 800 square meters with a staffed circular bar, an à la carte menu and private rest areas, and holds 128. Entry is for oneworld Emerald and Iberia's top tiers only, not Sapphire. Only ten metrics are rated so far, so expect the score to move. We covered the opening in our Sorolla story.

9. Sala VIP Canudas, Barcelona T2

Sala VIP Canudas is the only Priority Pass lounge in Barcelona's Terminal 2, on level 1 by the U gates, left after duty free. It was doubled in size in 2019 and Aena announced another expansion in 2026. Three showers, self-serve drinks, 160 seats, open 6:00 to 23:00. Priority Pass members can bring one guest, subject to space, with a three-hour limit. Drinks score a 2.

10. Sala VIP Nervión, Bilbao

Sala VIP Nervión is Bilbao's only Priority Pass lounge, on the Level 2 mezzanine of the boarding area, one level below duty free. It is small at 70 seats, with no showers and a self-serve bar. Open 5:30 to 22:30. It serves both Schengen and non-Schengen flights, and Priority Pass lists it simply as Sala VIP. Three-hour maximum stay. It is a quiet place to sit before a short flight, nothing more.
