How we picked these twelve
Lounge Frog rates every lounge on 14 things, from coffee to showers to crowding. The overall score is the average. We sorted every US lounge by that score and kept only those with a photo on file, with ties broken by name. Four lounges share the top score of 4.9 and eight more sit at 4.8. A few strong lounges, including the Flagship Lounge at LAX, have no photo yet and were left out.
1. American Airlines Flagship Lounge, Miami
American Airlines Flagship Lounge sits across from gate D30 in Concourse D, one level up, behind the same door as the D30 Admirals Club. It scores 5 on thirteen of fourteen metrics, with seating the only 4. Six showers, a craft cocktail bar, room for about 250. Entry is for Flagship Business and First passengers and oneworld Emerald and Sapphire members on a qualifying flight. Emeralds can bring one guest. Open 5:00 to 22:30. If you are flying American long-haul out of Miami, aim for this room.
2. Delta Sky Club, Honolulu
Delta Sky Club in Honolulu's Terminal 2 is across from gate F1 on Concourse F. It has an open-air feel that few mainland clubs can match, two showers, a full bar and about 130 seats. Only cleanliness slipped to a 4. Hours are 6:30 to 22:00. Members and eligible cardholders can bring two guests at $50 each, with a same-day Delta ticket. Amex Platinum holders get ten visits a year and Delta Reserve holders get fifteen.
3. The Centurion Lounge, Dallas/Fort Worth
Across from gate D12, up the escalator, The Centurion Lounge is a big, art-filled space with room for 300 and four showers. It opened in 2013 and still scores 5 on everything but drinks. Open 5:30 to 22:00 to Amex Platinum and Business Platinum cardholders. Guests cost $50, or nothing after $75,000 in annual spend, and since July 2026 they must be on the same flight. It gets busy. It is still the best thing in Terminal D.
4. United Club (D), Washington Dulles
United Club (D) is near gate D8, up the escalator. No showers, but a full bar, 250 seats and a 5 on every metric except Wi-Fi. Open 5:30 to 22:00. United Club members and Star Alliance Gold flyers get in with a same-day United or Star Alliance ticket. Individual members cannot bring guests; All Access members can bring two. One-time passes cost $59.
5. Admirals Club (B/C), Philadelphia
American Airlines Admirals Club (B/C) is on the third floor of the connector between Terminals B and C, up from the food court. It opens at 4:30, earlier than most, and runs to 22:00. No showers, but a full bar, 250 seats and a 5 on most metrics. Members can bring immediate family or two guests. Day passes are sold with a same-day American or oneworld ticket.
6 and 7. Chase Sapphire Lounges, LaGuardia and Phoenix
Both Chase Sapphire Lounge by The Club at LaGuardia and its sibling Chase Sapphire Lounge by The Club in Phoenix score 4.8. LaGuardia's opened in 2024 on level 4 of the Terminal B headhouse, spans two floors, and has two showers. Phoenix opened in 2025 near gate D11 in Terminal 4 and has none. Both have craft cocktail bars and about 200 seats. Since August 15, 2026, general Priority Pass and LoungeKey memberships no longer work. Eligible Chase cardholders keep free entry and their guest allowance, and public passes are reported at $100. Entry is within three hours of departure, or five on an eligible connection.
8. Delta Sky Club, San Francisco
Delta Sky Club is in Harvey Milk Terminal 1 near gate C3, upstairs. Four showers, a full bar and 250 seats. It opens at 4:30 and stays open until midnight. Views and food both score 5. Guest rules match Honolulu, with entry within three hours of departure. Basic Economy fares are not admitted.
9. Delta Sky Club (A), Seattle
Seattle's Delta Sky Club (A) near gate A1 is the biggest on this list, with 350 seats and four showers. It opens at 4:15. Crowding scores a 4, fair for a hub flagship. A second Sky Club with the Delta One Lounge is farther down Concourse A near A11, so if this one is full, keep walking.
10. Delta Sky Club (M), Chicago O'Hare
Delta Sky Club (M) opened in 2022 in Terminal 5 between gates M11 and M14. Two showers, a full bar, 200 seats, apron views. Note the hours: it closes at 20:00 most nights and 18:30 on Saturdays. Same Delta access rules as above.
11. Primeclass Lounge, JFK
Primeclass Lounge in JFK Terminal 1 is the only independent lounge here and the only one a Priority Pass opens. It is near gates 8 and 9, one level up, with 120 seats, two showers and a full bar. Priority Pass, LoungeKey and DragonPass members get in, with a three-hour limit and guests at the card's usual rate. Hours vary by day, running to 1:00 on some nights. Walk-up passes are sold when there is room.
12. The Centurion Lounge, Atlanta
The Centurion Lounge beside gate E11 opened in 2024 as the largest in the Centurion network. It holds 220, has two showers and a craft bar, and is open 6:00 to 23:00. Crowding still scores a 5, which says something. Getting there means riding the Plane Train to Concourse E and walking to the far end. For a short connection elsewhere it is not worth the trip. For anything over two hours it is.
