Who gets into an SAS Lounge

SAS Business and SAS Plus passengers get into SAS Lounges, as do EuroBonus Gold and Diamond members and, since the airline joined SkyTeam, SkyTeam Elite Plus members on a same-day SAS or SkyTeam flight. Gold and Diamond members can bring one guest or up to four immediate family members on the same flight. Business passengers bring nobody. The Scandinavian hubs also sell paid entry from three hours before departure, around 349 Danish kroner in Copenhagen and 399 to 449 Norwegian kroner in Oslo, or 4,300 EuroBonus points. In October 2025 SAS merged its separate Gold Lounges into the main lounges at Oslo, Stockholm and Copenhagen, so the status rooms are gone.

We ranked every open SAS Lounge with a photo on file. The two Stockholm Arlanda lounges and Gothenburg have no photo yet and are left out, which leaves four. None of them scores above 3.6, and that is a fair reflection of a network built for a quick coffee rather than a long stay. The 1,095-seat flagship SAS has planned for Copenhagen in June 2027 should change that.

1. SAS Lounge, Oslo

The SAS Lounge in Oslo is the hub's international lounge, one floor up from gate E2 above the Starbucks in the Schengen zone. Non-Schengen passengers use it before passport control, because there is nothing beyond it. It grew to about 1,370 square meters when the Gold Lounge was folded in, and it opens about an hour before the first SAS departure. The bar is self-serve and there are no showers; those are in the domestic lounge. Cleanliness, coffee, power, restrooms, seating, views, Wi-Fi and workspace all score four, and nothing scores five.

2. SAS Domestic Lounge, Oslo

The SAS Domestic Lounge is on the mezzanine opposite gate A2 in the domestic area, about 902 square meters with a barista bar, beer and wine on tap, work pods and the airport's only SAS shower, with free towels. Coffee scores five, the best mark in the network. Crowding scores two, because the morning domestic wave fills it fast. SAS domestic Premium passengers, Gold and Diamond members and Elite Plus members get in.

3. SAS Lounge, Copenhagen

The Copenhagen lounge is in Terminal 3 at the C gates, directly opposite the passport control entrance, so non-Schengen flyers use it before they go through. It absorbed the Gold Lounge in October 2025 and has showers, rest cabins, work pods, a barista bar and a kids' zone. Cleanliness, coffee, power, restrooms, seating, Wi-Fi and workspace score four, but crowding is a two. This is the lounge the 2027 flagship will replace, so it is a placeholder for now. We covered the plan in our story on the Copenhagen flagship.

4. SAS Lounge, Newark

The Newark lounge is in the Terminal B satellite B3 near gate B60, next door to the Lufthansa Lounge, and open 7 a.m. to 11 p.m. It is an 80-seat room with beer and wine and no showers. Seating, views and cleanliness score four, but coffee, food, quiet and restrooms are a two. It is not in Priority Pass. Business passengers get no guest, and Gold, Diamond and Elite Plus members get one.

Which one to pick on a connection

In Oslo, the domestic lounge has the better coffee and the only shower, but it serves domestic departures only, so international flyers get the E gates room whether they like it or not. In Copenhagen there is one SAS room and it is fine for an hour. At Newark, SkyTeam Elite Plus members have other options in Terminal B and should look at them before settling for the SAS Lounge.
